It's mostly a master-to-apprentice thing. I'm lucky, really - I'm being taught by one of the greatest mages in the country. Some families have a tradition of teaching it to their children, but Master Pent's a little young for that yet.

Well, you'd have to find someone willing to teach you. Like I said, it mostly goes from master to apprentice. I suppose if you were to find a magic-user who could teach you, it would be possible.
