We could probably save money if we said it was couples' therapy.

I pity the doctor who decides to counsel us.

[ Cloud takes a moment to reflect on this mental image. He comes away red-faced, laughing. ]

Do they have therapists where you're stationed?

They might! I haven't looked. There seems to be everything else there.

[He arches a brow, smirking at Cloud's red face.]

We'll make it up to them somehow. Maybe we could offer to be bodyguards.

Man, that sure brings back memories.

[ Let the Cloud memories process, Zack. It's strange in there. ]

[ Cloud smiles instead of elaborating. He realizes his mistake a minute later. ]

[He bows his head, breathing out what curiously sounds like a sigh.]

Not yet. It's hard to stay on top of the curses. I try to help whoever I run across, though.

What kind of curses?

[ No breaks for you, huh? ]

Yesterday my heart flew out of my chest. I had to chase it most of the day.

[ Sputtering like he's drowning. ]

You heard right. It grew wings. Damn hard to catch too.

[ Frowning at Zack's chest now. Not that it's not a beautiful NICE chest, but the logistics don't add up. ]

[He ruffles Cloud's hair, his smile affectionate.]

[ Cloud busies himself making sure Zack's heart is in the right place. (Hah.) He listens for a beat, mumbling: ]

I'll get you a net. Just in case.

[That's it, you asked for it. Zack pulls Cloud into a tight hug, closing his eyes.]

If I can't find it, I know you'll help. I'm not worried.

I'm not planning on letting you get lost again.

[ WHEW IT IS LIKE A FURNACE IN HERE. ]

Is that a promise? [Too bad. They'll just melt.] I've never had my own bodyguard before.

[ He laughs at himself. He figures he must be making the most embarrassingly serious face ever. ]
