I am aware we did not succeed as we had hoped, but France did change in time. Even so, you were not there and you did not experience what I did. I was able to die knowing my beliefs would not die with me and that the change we wanted was not impossible.

I am completely serious in all that I do. My cause was worth more than my own life and I believed that. I still do and I do not regret my decisions. To say such things is to say one should not care for one's life or the very essence of their being.

While I have died, my beliefs have lived on in others. I can name one at the very least, but I am sure the people of France have changed as well.
