Looking for a community. Suggestions, please?
Ah, mundane of mine. (Though really, you choose me as your muse? Should it amuse you to do such, I cannot complain though it does quite complicate things that your character is mine, for the moment...)
As you so put it, finding a community which is "not singing, not dancing, but stabbitystabbity time-travelling bard" friendly is indeed quite the challenge. Yet it is a task I am quite sure you will rise to, with the appropriate guidance.
Really, my requirements are two in number, and rather simple. Anywhere away from stampeding goobue is the first, of course. Dear Gods, I do not wish to repeat that again. Something to get my teeth into (literally or figuratively) is the second. That is all.
Let us see, hm? I have faith in you.

Be it by song, scripture or poem, the most ancient and grave verse can find the same presence upon the listener's subconscious as the most lighthearted satire. The conveyor only has to decide the means. I find, in the realm of Eorzea, poetry is aptly befitting it's dark days. Though of course having witnessed your quite incredible beauty, I confess that I feel the need to compose a ballad in your honor.

Thus he can't really fault the bard much, but still. He's a tad miffed.]
Despite being rather fond of poetry, I would rather if you didn't sing.

I as well.

Color me curious, but why is it that a bard would have need to "stab" anyone?

[ Or many, many, many knives. That's his speciality.]

[Impressive. A minstrel who can fight is worth more than one who hides.]
Luckily for me I have no need for blades. My magic suffices enough.
[He smirks.]

..and for what it's worth, he guesses he actually is a bard, at least with the prophecy considered. He simply smiles at that. Magic's never interested him, but he allows the high elf to be proud. Of course, he still thinks the guy is female. They can prance and boast all they like. ]
Interesting. What is your forte? Conjury, Thaumaturgy, or black or white magic?
[Please don't say Thaumaturgy. He's had more than enough of that type.]
