Ah. Yes.

If I am truthful, I must say I've had misgivings regarding - this since I first noticed the seed being planted. But as you did not act on your impulses, I did not act on my suspicions.

However. I realize that you've no intentions of putting me in harm's way, or any immediate danger, but nonetheless, I must protest. You realize I've duties to attend to in New York, not to mention Katrina and Young Masbath - yet aside from that, I do not take kindly to impersonation, Miss. A strange phenomenon, yes, and one that I suppose I must credit you for allowing me to experience.

- Impersonating a person of the law is actually a felony where you are from, is it not?

Why hello there.

Sadly they work outside the realm of even their own law enforcement. There is no evidence of our capture and should we be returned it will be as if we never left.
magic_isnt_real: (I am very serious)

[personal profile] magic_isnt_real 2013-01-25 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
Not quite. From what I understand it may be something temporal far beyond our current understanding. You don't simply return to the spot you were taken you return to the TIME you were taken.

Good assessment. We will return as the age we left and barring anything the mundanes may decide it will be without the memories we gained while we were their captive.

Not that any would believe us should we tell the tale.
magic_isnt_real: (There is something very wrong)

[personal profile] magic_isnt_real 2013-01-25 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
It certainly will help...to a degree.

There are things here beyond the Horseman.

Old alien beings that can cause insanity. Immortal beings that can be likened to gods. Very powerful creatures that have dubbed themselves demons and many other things we thought to be myth.

Sarcastic mockery: Oh no, this meatbag mundane is doing something with me that I don't approve of. I have pointless things to do. Let me point out that this is illegal.

Statement: The laws of your reality is not applicable to them, meatbag.
damn_meatbags: (Statement: You kill them like this...)

[personal profile] damn_meatbags 2013-01-25 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
Statement: It is a common occurrence in this place, to make puppets of individuals like yourself.

Addendum: Being difficult only seems to encourage these meatbags.
damn_meatbags: (Query: Do you wish to die now?)

Answer: That is exactly what I'm saying, meatbag.

Statement: I do not think that she would.

Answer: It is part of my programming, meatbag. My master found it entertaining when I once called his apprentice 'meatbag' and then programmed me to refer to all organic creatures as such.

I believe the popular phrase of the time is: "I do what I want." [ :\ ]
euphrasie: (wistful)

[personal profile] euphrasie 2013-01-25 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
It often gets people - see: people like us - hurt. Or at least in uncomfortable situations.

[ and a long stare. ] I have not heard of this "yolo," Monsieur. Is this a Latin phrase?
euphrasie: (curious)

[personal profile] euphrasie 2013-01-25 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
[ cosette looks thoughtful, tapping her chin. oh, yes, that makes more sense. ]

I oftentimes think people use these phrases to feel less guilty about doing things they probably should not do. But I also suppose there isn't any harm considering that we are both here and active.
euphrasie: (caught)

[personal profile] euphrasie 2013-01-25 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
My apologies for not introducing myself! I am Cosette, Monsieur, and I am very familiar with having a mad lady pull my strings. [ she twists her lips around before offering a friendly smile and a bow of her head. ] What is your name?
euphrasie: (cosette)

[personal profile] euphrasie 2013-01-25 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
A pleasure, Constable, though a shame to be under such circumstances.

What business must you tend to?
butterflyboy: (confused Victor)

[personal profile] butterflyboy 2013-01-25 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
(Sorry, he's a bit busy staring at the goggles in that one icon.)

I doubt your muse is going to listen. . .and he or she would probably say that there's no felony against impersonating a lawman from a fictional universe. . .

What is the magnification on those?
butterflyboy: (insect studying)

[personal profile] butterflyboy 2013-01-25 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
The trouble is knowing if she'll even listen to you. Mine does on occasion, but. . . (shrug)

(He grins back -- a bit of a mad smile.)

Oh, really? They look amazing! (then, a touch embarrassed) Sorry if I'm coming off a bit -- forward, I suppose. It's just, I'm a scientist -- an entomologist -- and something like those might be useful in my work.
butterflyboy: (I'm actually cheerful)

[personal profile] butterflyboy 2013-01-25 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I've mostly had decent things happen to me, so I'm inclined to be more optimistic than most. (The "sir" makes him realize introductions are due.) Oh, yes, I'm Victor Van Dort.

No -- and that's part of the beauty. I could probably find everything needed right in the shop. . . (Considering this a Mad Scientist version of Victor -- he can go ahead and make that call. XD)
butterflyboy: (insect studying)

[personal profile] butterflyboy 2013-01-25 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
Trust me, I know. (He returns it.) Good to meet you.

(He grins.) Oh yes. . . Maybe even make a more improved version. . . Creating butterflies calls for quite a lot of small adjustments. . .
picketywitch: (gladly explaining)

[personal profile] picketywitch 2013-01-25 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
Out for adventure, Ichabod?
picketywitch: (say it so carefully)

mwahaha

[personal profile] picketywitch 2013-01-25 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
Why then that guilty look?

[ She's teasing, of course. ]
picketywitch: (joyous news!)

/pinches cheeks

[personal profile] picketywitch 2013-01-25 05:33 am (UTC)(link)
Perhaps. I am not as aware as you, after all.

It's better to think of it as a partnership.

[Moran knows everything there is to know about indulging someone's psychotic impulses and excusing it as a partnership.]
