I dance ballet for the performances in the Paris Opera House. I've been training there since I was a child.

Gorgeous. I saw the ballet only once but it is an experience I'll never forget.

[Mostly because he was hiding from Marines above the stage and he'd been afraid he'd fall off and break his neck any moment]

No. My dream is of singing, performing for everyone as La Carlotta does. I fear it is only a dream though.

I'm sure I would. I'll definitely make sure to visit. [provided he can find Paris, which isn't likely given his canon.]

It's only a dream if you let it be just that. Maybe you should chase it, eh? Who knows, you might catch it and then I'll get to hear you sing, too.

You're very charming. I'm afraid I can do nothing for it though, they would never allow a ballet girl to sing.

So sing anyway. Even if it's just to yourself. Who knows if someone will overhear and help you out. I don't mean to be pushy, ma'am, but if there's anything I've learned in life is to pursue your dreams as hard as you can--even if you die along the way, you can at least say you never gave up.

There is one who hears me. My Angel of Music, he's been giving me voice lessons.

[Blushing and looking nervous because she's never actually sung for anyone, she goes on to sing Think of Me.]

[To be honest, most of the kind of singing he's used to is from mostly male crewmates, half drunk and belting their joy across the waves. So he's not exactly an aficionado of music.

That being said, he knows what he likes when he hears it so after a moment he'll just close his eyes and listen. When she's finished he'll applaud]

Gorgeous! Absolutely stunning! I'm no music person, but you can sing for me any time, sweet lady.

[And she'll bite her lip, cheeks turning bright red. That was most certainly not the kind of reaction she would have expected from anyone.]

I have been known to flatter on occasion, I have to admit. But in this case, it comes straight from the heart. You're like an angel yourself.

[He takes her hand and bows with ridiculous theatrics over it, placing a light kiss on her knuckles]

I will not but I do hope that you remember it. It is a lovely thing to be able to turn to the thought or memory of a song.

Ballet dancer, you say? [Where has the Doctor landed himself now? Must be somewhere in France, he's speaking perfect French. At least Christine will hear him speaking in French.]

You seem pretty...uhm, interesting. And pretty pretty. What other reason does there have to be for you being here? You had to have been chosen for something specific. Becoming a pole dancer, maybe?

My mundane says that I am here because of my Angel of Music but I'm afraid that's all she'll say on the matter.

Oh no, he is my music instructor. And angel my father sent to me from heaven.

Yeah, when you say that, do you mean your father as in God, or your real father who's dead and thus in Heaven?

And why do you talk about knowing an angel like it's no big deal? You can't even be too sure he's who he says he is. I mean, how personally do you know the guy? Have you even seen him?

I mean my father who died when I was a child. He promised me that he'd send the Angel of Music to me when he was in Heaven.

[She's kind of naive in some of the most important ways.]

Normally, I do not speak of him but this place is different. And I have not, I only ever hear his voice and his lessons.
