So then you have someone? I mean you mentioned having dated a hunter before-- or was that something still going on? Even after what happened?

We've been going together over a year, actually. Give or take the three months when we kinda broke up.

So how did that work out? I mean they find out you're a vampire and all that, must have been a pretty big shocker. He didn't try to stake you did he?

[diana_abel]

No. No staking. A lot of yelling and angry talk about honesty. Although, to be fair, he didn't exactly tell me he was a hunter so that all evened out.

Yeah it's not exactly easy to come out and admit you're a vampire to someone. [He did that whole thing once, bit him and his friends right in the arse too. Not always a bad thing, he dated one woman for years back in the sixties who knew what he was, she was a real doll, best thing that ever happened to him back then.]

I'm assuming hunters are much more common place where you're from, or it seems like it. Guessing he understood eventually, if you're both together again. So does he still hunt then? Even being with you?

He hunts. But Sam is...well...he uses his brain. I mean, he gets that not all creatures of the night are bad, ya know? He gets that I don't slaughter virgins and bathe in their blood.

He only goes after the bad ones.

God, do people really think we do that? [That gets a bit of a skeptical look from him.]

Though you know, sometimes the line is far too close on who's bad and who's good. Sometimes the difference is barely there, even if we don't mean for it to be like that.

I know.

[She's clearly speaking from experience there.]

But Sam is smart. Damn smarter than I ever could be. I think he knows what he's doing.

[Seems they've both had that experience. Mitchell still struggled with it even now, as much as he hated it.]

I hope so, for you, for any friends you have. [Vampire friends that is. The last human he dated kind of had his entire vampire 'family' blown up. So. Yeah.]

Even after over a hundred years I can say without a doubt that my life will never be boring. Something always comes up, it's like clockwork. [He can't help the chuckle that he lets out.]
