He may be ultimately undeterred in his goals, but he certainly can't say he hasn't lost a lot on the way. ]

Yes, he remembers the sacrifices (that he didn't make), the sins (that he didn't commit), the lives all affected by the actions of a few (not his, at least not then). The wounds feel raw as he turns them over in his mind, but there's a disconnect as well, like cognitive dissonance, but not quite. Perhaps it is the paradox suffered by those who are manufactured rather than born.

Or perhaps it is simply the weight borne by all those calling themselves Char. Without the freedom of will to really consider it, he'll never know. ]
