on being considered as a warden
I must admit it is certainly an intriguing prospect. Do you consider this wise, mademoiselle? I have never thought myself a model citizen, certainly no one to base one's life off of. But a chance to improve the lot of mankind? That would be welcome.
The 'barge', too, is a new and fascinating place. I could learn much there -- and perhaps it is a bit miraculous, too, to be so close to the stars and among my friends again.
Well. Whatever you decide, mademoiselle, I am certain it will be a fine place.

I am not certain if I am fit to redeem anyone, but I will welcome the challenge if I must.

Unlikely. Redemption is rare, [he states quickly and stolidly, leaving no room for argument. It is ill-advised to press him on this point.] What kind of unsavory gentleman do you intend to 'guide'? Reform? However-you-call-it.

I welcome the chance to live again, mademoiselle. If I may help people along the way, so much the better.

And a philanthropist of sorts! You should be welcome anywhere you decide to settle.

He's from 1824. He has very little clue about this Barricade Boys business :|

He's run into Enjolras and Grantaire so far. NOT GOOD FIRST IMPRESSIONS, LES AMIS
Yeah well he can't say much for them, sorry, but they are good fellows. :c
Their definitions of good are significantly different.

I'm sorry he's a deist man :c
Damned philosophers!

Well, you're at least easier to deal with than nuts like Enjolras, says Javert
someone has to be personable!
To make up for the psychotic and the drunk ones :|b
Hey he loves his bestie
The amis are such goofs. Scary goofs, some of 'em, but goofs.
That's why we love em though!
Pretty much!

To be among friends and the stars? How envious I am!

I am well, only recently arrived. And you, my brother? Are you well?

Whatever the case may be, it is good to see you, mon ami. For my part, I am as much a brutish disbeliever as ever, though perhaps slightly less discontented. Through this displacement, I have found a tentative place, if you will. It is novel, it is enjoyable, and it is certain not to last. Ah, life, how you so unceremoniously shuffle us through our wretched phases!
