Considering places, but I need to find his voice again it's been so long.
Listen just because you're rusty and feel that I don't know what I'm doing doesn't make it true. I don't know about you but I always know what I'm doing. Mostly. Almost always. It doesn't matter! Don't even think about keeping me idle. I've had enough of that now! Months I've been sitting there bored. Do you know what it's like? Sitting there and doing nothing! I can't stand minutes yet alone months!
Once you've gotten my voice right you had better find something for me to do. I don't care what it is so long as I'm not in one boring universe all the time! I know you're picky but I'm really not! Well, I'm a little picky, but I don't want to sit around and do nothing! How does anyone do that? Sitting around and doing nothing. Awful. Just awful. I don't know what I'll do but I'll do something. I'll yell! And be annoying! You don't want that now do you?
Alright. Right then. Now that we're on the same page that's as good a place to start as any isn't it?

Oh god I know how that goes! *hugs* You are so forgiven!
Haha, I just feel so awkward tagging people with AUs.
[She grins despite herself, though, and hugs him back.]
Not to mention that I'm stuck with a snarky dog as a representation of my soul.
It's hard because some people get so butthurt, but I've been there and I understand! I'm cool tho!
[When he pulls away he hangs on to her shoulders. She's different, but they're always different aren't they once he leaves. Oh so different. It's nice to see her again though. It truly is.]
Snarky dogs! Those are the worst aren't they! I had one of those for a bit.

Oh, I wouldn't say he's the worst, but he does think he knows me better than I know myself. Which I suppose comes from being my soul and all.
no subject
He probably does. Usually your soul is quite telling.

Muns do get a bit cross sometimes, don't they? You ought to hear mine sometimes - though cross is at least better than when she's plotting to do something horrible to me, I can tell you that much.
It's weird, though, this whole...souls as animals thing. I mean, I never thought mine'd be this dog with bloody great ears and spots all over, not that I'd ever given much thought to what animal my soul might be.
no subject
Oh not Jack, tell me you haven't been spending too much time around him.
I think the most horrible thing she's done to me as of late is ignore me! But I can't complain now, she's learned the error of her ways. Mostly. She does alright I suppose but don't tell her I said as much.
Ha! I bet it's a spotting resemblance. [He jokes.] I'd hate to see what mine looks like! That'd probably be an awful thing to see. Or it'd be like a mouse. How embarrassing would that be. A mouse.
no subject
Sometimes I wish she'd ignore me, all things considered. [No, Martha, you don't.] Instead it's "Oh, Martha, I think you'd love to go visit a dying world and barely make it out. Hey, Martha, why don't you go lend a hand in the middle of Ragnarok? And wouldn't you love to be trapped in some sort of bizarre fairy tale, too?" [Martha rolls her eyes good-naturedly.]
[She is not even acknowledging that terrible pun, that's how terrible it is. Although there might be a hint of an amused smile lurking at the corners of her lips.] Nah, you aren't nearly mousey enough. I know a bloke with a mouse daemon, he's terribly shy and withdrawn. You'd probably have some weird sort of animal. [Eyeing him for a moment.] Or maybe a giraffe. Though I've never seen anybody with one as tall as a giraffe, but there's a first time for everything, I suppose.
no subject
[All of that doesn't seem to deter him, in fact his eyes are alight like a childs might be when given the promise of candy.] And you've done all that then? At least you're keeping busy. When it all stops, that's when you'll really be whinging!
A giraffe? A giraffe!? I wasn't even thinking about personality. I'm sure that has a lot to do with what you get. I wouldn't want anything. I think I'd do well being my own spirit animal! But depending on the world I don't think that's an option huh?
no subject
Ha! I've had a bit of a break lately, actually. A rather welcome one, I've got to admit - maybe you can keep doing things all the time, but I'm only human, I've got to rest sometime.
Well, you look a bit giraffe-y this time 'round - but I don't think looks have much to do with it, in the scheme of things. Unless I've got spots and huge ears, which I'm pretty sure I don't. But yeah, that's sort of how things work 'round here - you find a window to Cittagazze, which is sort of the central world, and as soon as you step through, your soul's torn from your body. Unless you don't have a soul, but I'm pretty sure you do, since you aren't a vampire or a demon or anything like that.
no subject
Oh nonsense. I've adrenaline is a wonderful thing! It can keep you going for ages! Though I suppose that's just one thing I'll never get used to with you humans. Always needing to sit down.
Don't I just! These legs! They're something else aren't they!? Well. [He smiles playfully and shakes his head.] Sounds fascinating though. I don't think I'd try it out, admittedly. I'd hate to see what my soul looks like. I really would. But still the concept. Oh it sounds like something else! That's the brilliant thing about exploration isn't it?
