Yes. [And there's a pause - but hang on, more is coming. Maybe Kasuka is warming to you, Shinra!] She says so.

Hm? She? You mean Shizuo's doctor?

[Shinra seems to remember a rather stern, uptight woman in a lab coat coming from the direction of Shizuo's room. It only made sense that she was caring for him.]

[Kasuka looks at Shinra as if trying to decide how stupid that question is. He'll accept it as valid, though.] The baker.

Huh. Shizuo never told me about her.

[That's your cue to tell him more, Kasuka.]

[Butbutbut what more is there to say? She's a baker - or the baker's wife. She gives them milk sometimes. You know all this now, Shinra!

He turns red when she gives him milk.

[This puzzles Kasuka. He really only knows Shizuo to have two modes: neutral and pissed off. This particular redness seems to be neither.]

Yeah! It's when you have a romantic attachment for someone. It's common for a person who has a crush to blush, stammer, sweat, and for their heart to beat faster!

[And Shizuo is much younger. It makes no sense.]

Love is a strange thing! It makes us fall in love with the strangest and most beautiful people...

[Sigh. Shinra may know more about this than he's letting on.]

[And Kasuka, of course, has no clue about love. But he thinks Shinra is acting just a little weird.

It's really amazing! Sometimes, the first time you see a person, you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with them. It gives you this tingling feeling all over, and you just feel like you want to shout out how much you love them! And sometimes, they return your affection, but sometimes, they don't. Sometimes, they aren't sure and you have to work really hard to change their mind!

But I know it's working. I'm changing her mind, and one day, I'm going to marry her!

[Yeah... You can tell Kasuka all you want about how things feel, but he's already succeeded in pretty much blocking it all out. He's probably not going to learn anything new beyond this point.]

[Shinra hardly even notices that Kasuka isn't paying attention anymore. He's too busy daydreaming about Celty~]

[Because. He'd rather not leave Shizuo alone. And besides...]

He likes cake.

Of course! All my friends are gonna come! And there will be a huuuuuge cake, too big for even Shizuo to finish!

[bitty_kasuka]

He eats a lot.

[This is Kasuka doubting that so big a cake even exists.]

He does, but this one will be too big for him! It'll have to be custom made so it's big enough, I bet... How much have you seen Shizuo eat at one time?

[Kasuka's eyes drift to the ground as he considers this. When he looks up again, he spreads his hands, a fair amount of space between them.

Wow... we're going to need to get a really big cake!

[He's laughing at the thought.]

[Kasuka doesn't laugh, of course. He doesn't even smile. But the idea of a really big cake does appeal to him.]

... I like cake, too.
