I know that this is "different" but sometimes change is good, right? This place isn't so different from the other and while I do miss my friends, I know deep in my heart that I'll see them again.

But I'll admit it, I really miss them.

Friendships can stay for as long as you remember them.

I know the move may be difficult for some, but they will always right next door, when you think about it.

Always...right next door?

I think I understand but I don't think "she" does. Keeping those memories alive can be so hard to do.

It is, yes. People have to move on with their lives. It's a natural occurrence that many find hard to swallow, but that is life. Even so, whenever she needs to find those memories again, they will be there for her to find them again.

We leave traces afterall, so nothing is ever truly gone.

[esperchild]

I think you're right about that. I can't remember anything about myself but I...do remember little things. Things that define who I am.

So even without all my memories, I still know who I am. I guess the same goes for friendships. The memories won't fade.

[ She smiles. ]

That's a good thing to know.

You can't...? That must make things rather complicated for you. A very honest answer though. How does that saying go...the past doesn't matter, it is what you do in the present that defines who you are.

[A grin.]

That's another way you could look at it.

[ Her cheerful smile becomes a slightly sad one. ]

You mean that's the only way I can look at it. Without any memories to claim as my own, I have to hold on to what little I have gained so far.

Ah, but they'll continue to grow overtime. They won't be so little soon enough. We're making a memory right now aren't we?

[esperchild]

[ She nods. ]

Right! We are making new memories even now. Maybe one day I'll have enough happy memories to last me forever.

Don't worry! I am sure that your friends will be coming along to join you soon enough!

I am certain that they are trying to make the journey as well!

You think so? I..I hope they are!
