Wow mun- ..outta everyone you coulda' chosen, you picked me. ...I mean I'm not special, I'm just an ordinary kid!

Well yeah...getting to meet Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Sandman, the Toothfairy, AND Jack Frost and the Boogeyman all in one night isn't ordinary. But other than that I'm just like you!...just younger.

But one thing is.. you really should believe in yourself more. Don't worry so much about not getting my voice right- ..the fact you chose me is good enough. I bet the rest will come easy with practice. 'Sides, this'll be fun!!

Jack!! I was hoping I'd see you here!

[Jack floats up and spins around Jamie, showing off.]

Of course you were.

[i_believe]

[He chuckles, looking up at the Winter Spirit with wide eyes.]

Where have you been lately? ...bet you were out making sure everyone had a white Christmas, huh?

[okay_agame]

As many towns as I could get to, yep.

[It might just be snowing now.]

[i_believe]

[Anyone else would have been surprised- but that just causes Jamie's eyes to grow wider with excitement.]

That's awesome! It's gotta be fun when you get to be the one to make it snow.

Wanna watch it happen?

[Jack kneels down, and holds out a hand.]

[i_believe]

[He gasps, looking at Jack's hand for a minute before glancing back up at him.]

...W-...really?

[okay_agame]

Sure! Why not?

[i_believe]

[He tries to say more, but the excitement has sort of stifled anything he was going to say. So, with a massive grin, he carefully takes Jack's hand.]

[okay_agame]

[Jack grasps Jamie's hand firmly.]

You ready?

[i_believe]

[Still no words can come out- so he just nods quickly.]

[okay_agame]

Okay, here we go!

[Jack makes it feel at first like he's going to take off rocketing into the sky, but he eases back after a second.]

[i_believe]

[Well that wasn't expected. Blinking, Jamie looks back up at him, confused.]

..What? ...What is it?

[okay_agame]

Just didn't wanna freak you out.

[They're just floating in midair for the moment.]

[i_believe]

[...Oh. OH. Whoops, he hadn't even noticed they were in the air yet- he kicks his legs a little with surprise before relaxing, chuckling.]

Freak me out? No way, this is cool!

[okay_agame]

All right then. We're off!

[Now they're rocketing. Jack takes them through a dozen close calls, each one worse than the last. Finally they come upon a big city, all the skyscrapers lit up now that the sun had set.]

[Jamie had been hollaring with excitement the entire time, to the point where once they finally got where they were headed he was breathless.

And Jack hadn't even made it snow yet.]

[Jack grins down at Jamie, and then holds his staff up to the sky.

As the staff glows blue, clouds start to gather, and the wind picks up a little. Gently, snowflakes begin to drift down over the city below, each lit up thousands of times over by all the lights of the buildings.]

Woooww..

[He holds his hand out a little, feeling the snowflakes hit his skin as they fall.] This is so cool...

Want me to make it snow harder?

[i_believe]

[The boy nods eagerly, never taking his eyes off the snow clouds that Jack whipped up.]

[okay_agame]

You got it.

[A big grin, then Jack waves the staff at the sky again. the clouds darken, and the wind whips into a bit of a frenzy. In a few more moments, the snowflakes are coming down much faster, obscuring some of the buildings further away.]

Jamie!

[Tooth zooms right up to the boy, all smiles and sparkles.]

Oh, it's so good to see you! How are you, dear?

[i_believe]

[He's all smiles right back, his eyes lighting up when he sees her.]

Toothfairy!

I'm great! Look- ...my tooth came back, see?

[And he pauses to open his mouth so she can see the brand new tooth that's come in to replace the one he accidentally knocked out.]

[She leans in close to inspect his new tooth. Just like the rest of them, it looks lovely! She's so proud of you, Jamie, remembering to brush and floss.]

Splendid! And don't worry about your old one, it's tucked away nice and safe.

Good!

[Now he knew he could count on her to keep the rest of his baby teeth safe- it's amazing to think about. She actually still has all those teeth!]

So uhm- ..I've been meaning to ask.

...what happens when I lose my last tooth? ...does that mean you won't get to visit me anymore?

Oh. Uhm. It's... a little hard to explain.

[Hmmm, how does she put this?]

Yes and no. Once you lose your last tooth, I won't visit you anymore because of that. But for as long as you still believe, I can try and swing by to say hi whenever I'm in the area!

[He pauses for a moment before smiling a little up at her.]

I'll always believe. ...you won't have to worry about that.

She gives him a big, toothy smile back.]

I'm glad to hear it. Besides, Sophie is going to be losing teeth even after all your adult ones grow in so you won't be getting rid of me that easily anyway!

[He chuckles.]
