Ah, very good mundane. I see you've decided to place your allegiances to the side more appreciative of your voice. It's an amusing devise that you've accomplished here, one I hope will shine light on the darker corners our dear Gotham is so intent on hiding.

There is always power to be found in the citizens' hands, after all.

[Okay he normally feels brutish for this sort of thing but he's drawing out his sword from the get go.]

And here I thought I wouldn't get to fight with a cultist.

You may want to rethink your manners, citizen. My first punch shall be your last.

Then I will accept my fate if you're so sure.

[He seemed confident and resolute, he was going to let Bane have the first strike.]

So eager. Curious.

And challenge is all that drives you?

I assure you, Grace will be far from any challenge regarding me.

Grace takes exception to that.

[He points the sword towards him.]

Are you going to take the first strike or should I?

By all means. [ he gives a gentlemenly nod of the head ]

[ooc: Bane pretty much just...goes to kill or break bones when he fights so I'm not sure how you'd like to thread this- don't want to godmod anything! ]

((OOC: Well Azrael isn't an idiot. The sword he has allows him to have 98% of Bane's physical strength. So he can match his punches almost perfectly and take them as well. Bone-breaking is less likely unless Bane looks at his own limits and how to manipulate them.))

Alright since we're agreed.

[He sprinted forward intending to land a solid punch to his chest just to show he was not to be underestimated. If the hit connected Bane would certainly feel that despite the size difference Azrael was his peer when it came to strength.]

[ he allows the punch to hit, but not directly as he shifts a bit to the side. mainly due to curiosity and also because he does not believe it will inflict much of anything from a man with such stature.

He is...surprised by the results.

Bane takes a few steps backwards, staggering. He regains himself easily enough. ]

It is...such an odd occurrence to discover I am capable of underestimating.

It happens to most of us.

[Azrael is quick to move back though, he knows he has the strength to match Bane of course but he also knows that Bane has knowledge of quite a few killing moves.]

Thankfully, I do not seek to encourage such behavior.

[ when Bane moves, it is with a quick and ruthless efficiency. He charges, a foot seeking the challenger's knee while his fist attempts to connect with the man's throat ]

[Azrael side-stepped Bane and attempted to stab him through the wrist. Despite having a strength matching Bane his speed was more fitting to his own stature rather than Bane's.]

I wouldn't encourage it but human nature kind of brings on mistakes like that.
