Voice Testing!

[bringsgooddream]

[If you were expecting a voice to come from this smiling face, you aren't going to get one. Instead, there are images flashing above Sandy's head in quick succession. A puppy wagging it's tail, then a musical note, followed by a sun. Obviously, Sandy is in quite the happy mood.]

What's got you so cheerful?

[Jack floats in a lazy circle around Sandy, then lands to one side.]

[More flashing images. The puppy again, a heart, and then fireworks. Can't you tell, Jack? Sandy got a mun. Somebody is actually playing him, and that is a good thing. And the mun loves him very much.]

Y'know, most of us are kinda worried when one of them picks us up.

[bringsgooddream]

[Some Zs, a crescent moon and stars, and then a horse galloping around, a dog playing, a dolphin swimming. The mun has lots of dreams.]

Yeah, mine's kinda like that too.

[Dreamers are good. Dreamers are the people that believe in them the most. So having a mun that is a dreamer makes him very happy.]

So, got any plans?

[bringsgooddream]

[He shakes his head. No Jack, he has no plans. The image of the puppy again, and then a question mark appears over his head. He doesn't know what his mun is planning to with him either, if anything.]

Too bad. I kinda miss having you around.

[bringsgooddream]

[A gentler smile touches his face. He likes you Jack. You're a good friend. And now he has an idea! Again, the puppy, which has obviously become the image for his mun, followed by a swirl of sand, and then a bouncing ball. Maybe he can convince his mun to send him to one of those games he's been hearing about.]

[Jack grins big and wide.]

Really?

[bringsgooddream]

[Sandy nods energetically. Yup, really. He can't make promises, but he can try!]

Thanks Sandy. I'll be sure to do something special to make it up to you if you manage to convince your mun.

Just gotta think of something by then.

[genie_lady]

[Don't look now....there's a small woman peeking out of a garish looking old bottle to the side. And she looks curious.]

[Still smiling, Sandy waves at her. Hello genie, how are you?]

[genie_lady]

[She giggles and waves back. What a funny looking man! But he seems nice enough.] Hello, sahib.

[bringsgooddream]

[He is very nice, unless you get him mad, then he's not so nice, but for the most part, he really is nice. That's why he's still smiling, see!]

[genie_lady]

[Jeannie is much the same way, perhaps they were kindred spirits of a sort. She disappears, pink smoke swirling out of the bottle and materializing into a full sized lady in pink.]

Who are you? Are you looking for someone? [Quiet sort of person, wasn't he?]

[bringsgooddream]

[He shakes his head. Nope, not looking for someone. Just sharing his excitement. But how do you not know who he is? He is the Sandman. You should know who he is right. He let's some of his dream sand float him into the air a little as dolphins jump around it, horses gallop through it, birds fly around it. All these creatures are completely made by the sand. See, he is Sandman.]

[genie_lady]

Wow....those are beautiful... [Jeannie watches, delighted by the display. But she's never heard of the sandman, being from mid-eastern myth herself, those sort of stories didn't reach the desert. (ironically enough)

Not knowing any better, she reaches to see if the sand figures are solid enough for touching or not. Jeannie is always picking up stuff she shouldn't be.]

[bringsgooddream]

[The sand is just sand, and it instantly dispels the figure, but only to make sand fireworks instead. He's glad she like the display.]

[genie_lady]

[Jeannie smirks at an idea, blinking twice...and his fireworks are suddenly shooting WAY up into the sky as real colored sand fireworks.]

[bringsgooddream]

[Sandy looks amazed for only a moment before his smile returns. She's a dreamer too! He likes that!]

[genie_lady]

[Well she does grant wishes. The more unique, the better. But Jeannie doesn't do a whole lot of actual sleeping.] You are such a nice color, you remind me of home in Persia.

[bringsgooddream]

[Not all dreams come from sleep though. Even Sandy knows that.]

[memoryguardian]

[Toothiana giggles at his excited whirlwind of symbols above his head as she flies in close.]

I'm happy your mun decided to play you, Sandy! [Being close to Sandy in age, she has gotten used to his way of communicating and can understand what he says. Most of the time, anyway.]

[bringsgooddream]

[Yes, he's happy too. The mun likes playing him, and doesn't even have the heart to be mean to him because she adores him far too much. Also, it's good to see you, Toothiana! He's happy to see friends.]

[That's good. Poor Tooth's heart couldn't take it if anything bad happened to Sandy again!]

It's good to see you too. Does your mun have any plans for you?

[bringsgooddream]

[He shakes his head. The mun has no plans yet. Actually, he wonders what his mun is going to do with him.]

What a shame... [She wilts a little, but instantly perks back up with that usual smile of hers.]

But maybe your mun will have a change of heart like mine!

[bringsgooddream]

[He smiles again. Oh he hopes so. It would be so wonderful if his mun did something good with him. Maybe send him to one of those games.]

[memoryguardian]

I'll be going to a game soon. [She sounds excited. And she is! Although she'd be lying if she said she wasn't scared, too. This game isn't exactly all that "fun" from what she's been told.]

At least, I hope so! My mun is more worried about getting in than me, I think. [A small shrug.]

[kingofnightmares]

[Ugh, stop being adorable Sandman. It makes Pitch sick to his stomach.]

[bringsgooddream]

[Sandy frowns. He's still not happy with you, Pitch. You messed with the kids dreams, and that wasn't very nice.]

[kingofnightmares]

[He rolls his eyes.}

Oh, don't give me that look, Sandy.

[bringsgooddream]

[Why shouldn't he? You're not planning anything again, are you, Pitch? You better not be.]

[kingofnightmares]

[Pitch scoffs and crosses his arms.]

Of course not. Well, not here anyways. [The spirit waves his hand in the air, as if to push away the subject.] Nothing too serious.

[bringsgooddream]

[So you are planning something...and what do you call nothing too serious?]

[kingofnightmares]

It's fine, it's fiiine.

You worry too much, Sandy.

[bringsgooddream]

[Not really. You just happen to have a bad record.]

[kingofnightmares]

[He frowns tightly.]

You try being forgotten for hundreds of years, and try being believed in again with my powers. Then we'll talk. Or in your case, sign at one another.

[ Lucas is indeed expecting speech as he stares at the odd-looking, sandy little man, and is quite taken aback by the images. He stares at them, but doesn't try to interpret a message of any sort; he's a little too cowed by it. ]
