Pining again, are we?
I come on here, ramble vaguely about how nice it would be to have the "old guard" together again, and you sit there, all a-quiver, with anticipation -- you know it doesn't really work like that, right?
Numbers III, IV, V, and VI -- you'd have better luck pulling an ingrown toenail then getting us all together.
I do have to hand it to ya, though, kiddo: it is a very nice thought.

[Might have liked him a little too much, even--that's the trouble with trusting Neophytes fully. You can never be truly sure if they're entirely loyal or not.]
I take it you had to put him down, then?

It was a very nasty day.

[He'll take that as a "no", then. No, Saix is not dead--not yet, at least, or if nothing else, not by Xigbar's hand. And biting the hand that feeds him..... That would obviously mean Xemnas, betraying him somehow. The exact nature and manner of the betrayal is ambiguous, but given the uncharacteristic emphasis and seriousness, it must be remarkably severe--some devastating personal assault, perhaps, or something to undermine the Organization as a whole.
And judging by Xigbar's upset..... He predicts that the man wouldn't be directly involved or targeted in the act of betrayal itself, but potentially couldn't put a stop to it in time, or was taken completely by surprise. It's a blow that cuts too deep for it to have simply been a personal encounter, given Xigbar's personal distaste for Saix. More and more puzzling..... And concerning, at that.]
It must have been. What is the status of things as they stand now?
