on his pb and existence again
So I am back.
A near year break, perhaps more. I see why it is. Another adaptation, hmm. Well if it sparks your interest in our plight again, I can hardly say it is something negative. At least I am not idle.
I am however more amused that you stuck to this face. The irony is not lost. A British aristocrat to be me? You do remember what we're fighting for, no? A French revolutionist with a British aristocrat's face. I'm sure Grantiare will see amusement with it.
Also the name. I mislike it, mam'selle. I would rather not think on it. Failures do little good.

It has been awhile, dear friend. I'm glad that I waited around this place. I had a great deal of optimism that a familiar face would emerge, one that was decidedly friendly. It is very good to see you alive and well. At least I trust that is the case?

Mam'selle used to have me out a lot back on the other place, but alas, I fell into disuse. However here I am once more, and if you completely ignore the name she put to this writing device, I am indeed well. And alive.

It is an unfortunate name choice, but the irony is a little morbid now. Prouvaire would appreciate it. To see you again is an honor. May I ask what other place you're referring to?

It was a game, not on this thing, dream thing. There were mutants and New York, and the Amis fought the injustices of social oppression upon those whose evolution sparked a mutation, involving the X-gene. Once Lemarque was killed, we struck out. Though we all had jobs at this school, teaching young mutants, civil duty, blah, blah, blah. Fueilly was pleased enough with it.
Suppose we all were, though I wasn't around when Bossuet arrived. Pity.

However, I'll make certain to properly chastise your mundane for her.... tactless choice of name.

Ah, but it is the truth. And we cannot ignore it, simply write our own. After all, technically I was dead before you were born, mon petit chou.

I much prefer writing our own, and I will insist our writers continue at it. [A frown.] Because even though that is so, I much prefer you being perfectly well during my life.

[He smiles sweetly. You are too good for him.] I am sure they shall write quite lovely things, things unbefitting the name 'Les Miserablés'.

It is well, something I have lived with for a time. Or died with if we are being technical. [Aha, death jokes.]

I rather dislike technicalities, they can be so boring... Regardless, it's terrible to have a constant reminder as such.

It is what it is, and I would rather a painful truth than a pretty lie.
