Such a long time it's taken to bring you here! We've been together for some time now, I like to think I know some of the matters of your mind.

I know of whom you worry over. I would not deny that it will be a strange meeting, should it come to pass but..on my part, I still considered him friend. If we should meet, then I will extend my hand to him. I know full well now, the failing of strength of one's heart.

[ a glance over, and a small smile ]
It is no small thing to meet those from my Uncle's adventures. I would consider it an honor to meet the Elvenking, though you know I've no wish to see others face this ship. It is still full of darknesses I'd rather not wish upon anyone, no matter how kind the people are here.

As for the Tower..

[ his mouth twitches ]
I believe I've run out of pipeweed. You don't suppose Gandalf has any? We shall have to ask it of him.

[ and at last, which never quite leaves his thoughts ]
Yet despite these comings and goings of friends, new and old, I find it still somewhat empty without Sam. I would not ask for him to follow me into more danger than he already has, though if he were here, I've no doubt he would, regardless of my wishes. The most stubborn of hobbits, you see.

Yet I still wish to see him. It's selfish of me.

Regardless, I will face whatever may come, best as I might. With all my Uncles about, I cannot afford to lose heart in their company!
