on things! and mun being too shy to have posted here before oops
Such a long time it's taken to bring you here! We've been together for some time now, I like to think I know some of the matters of your mind.
[a pause]
I know of whom you worry over. I would not deny that it will be a strange meeting, should it come to pass but..on my part, I still considered him friend. If we should meet, then I will extend my hand to him. I know full well now, the failing of strength of one's heart.
[ a glance over, and a small smile ]
It is no small thing to meet those from my Uncle's adventures. I would consider it an honor to meet the Elvenking, though you know I've no wish to see others face this ship. It is still full of darknesses I'd rather not wish upon anyone, no matter how kind the people are here.
As for the Tower..
[ his mouth twitches ]
I believe I've run out of pipeweed. You don't suppose Gandalf has any? We shall have to ask it of him.
[ and at last, which never quite leaves his thoughts ]
Yet despite these comings and goings of friends, new and old, I find it still somewhat empty without Sam. I would not ask for him to follow me into more danger than he already has, though if he were here, I've no doubt he would, regardless of my wishes. The most stubborn of hobbits, you see.
Yet I still wish to see him. It's selfish of me.
Regardless, I will face whatever may come, best as I might. With all my Uncles about, I cannot afford to lose heart in their company!

[Thranduil isn't a huge fan of the Valar, but he doesn't believe for a moment that good luck has anything to do with Frodo's situation, if luck brought him the Ring.]

I still have not told you the stories you wished.

Do you now? And you are quite certain you're offering? It is not easy to name a value on the goodness of pipeweed.

It sounds as if you're on a journey of your own! Puddles and such? Where are you going?

Though...I'm not sure if I want to venture much farther these days. I may like to stretch my legs but...something is telling me not to get too far from home.

[ he chuckles again, sobering a bit at that. ]
Best to keep to the borders of our land, there is adventure to be had but it will not be what you expect.
Adventures seem to be finding many such hobbits these days. They'll need you there.

Were they fireworks?

I recall his firework, yes and I know the shores of Valinor better than I rightly should. I know of his battle with the Balrog and his revival. And quite a few others, some of which become a blur from our haste to return to our own bodies before we would be killed.

[ there's a strange tone in his voice, but he sounds fond at the rest. ]
He really is no ordinary wizard. If only home knew as much. Or perhaps it's better they didn't. Seems adventures are only for the strange hobbits.

[That's such an understatement, Frodo. It really is.]
I'm not sure anyone back home would be ready to learn such things of him. He's rather private about it all. Strange or not though, I've never known any better a hobbit, or hobbits.

'Tis good to see that hope remains with you, Frodo, no matter how fragile it might seem. [ A pause, and he looks down to his hands, turning the Ring of Barahir over his finger before his arms drop to his side. ]
Perhaps Boromir will find his peace upon that strange ship.

[ his smile is tired and honest when he greets his friend. it's no surprise he looks a little worse each time they meet again. but his heart gladdens to see aragorn, and really, that is what strengthens him. the bonds of the fellowship. ]
Then I would hope to help him, in your stead, if I could. It will..be a strange meeting, Aragorn. But I hold nothing against him.

[ He looks at Frodo for a long moment. ]
I believe he might be taken from home moments before the Council ends. [ Clasps his hands together- then drops them to his side. ] I only wish I can aid you with this, my friend.
