It's nice to meet you too, Gadget! I was grateful for the help, and wouldn't mind if you were to help out next time. That's my job too, but my friends and I used to keep it from others. We had...complicated lives.

Well, you know Dale~ Chip is the serious side of him -- he's a little more...down-to-earth, I guess you can say, but sweet no less. Monty's from Australia! He's a big softy. He was best friends with my Dad [Looks down..] He looks out for me because he promised my dad he would. He's a mouse too!

and Zipper is, well, Zipper! He's a fly, Loyal and sweet ^_^

[Dale was still in considerable disbelief. What to be excited about the most, her sudden appearance or confessions he was sure he heard? All he could manage seemed tame compared to any tail wagging that was threatening to surface.]

Gadget? [His voice piped up respectively as he worked up the courage to meet her face to face. The tail wagging couldn't be helped now, he really was thrilled!]

[Oh! Oh!! Gadget's smile could light up the entire universe at the moment and she turned to see the one chipmunk she had been hoping to see, the one that her mun promised she would get to be with!]

Dale!

[Running, and soon her arms were around him tightly in a hug.]

[Dale's own mundane had kept up hope in searching for the other Rangers. The chipmunk was content enough to go adventuring and dream of being a hero one day, but now that he and Gadget were together- any traces of homesickness fled him just as quickly as butterflies came to him. He really had missed home terribly.]

Aww... [He reeled a bit in shock, waiting thoughtfully as he wrapped her in his own embrace. Seeing that their closeness lingered just a little more than that of friendship, he snuggled a cheek to the crown of her head for but a moment before his voice quavered a response.]

It's good ta see you again too. [He craned his head, albeit reluctant to break that treasured contact with her.]

Mm-hmm! [He bobbed his head earnestly.] Chip's around too! He an' I are Pokemon, er somethin'. I don't really know what that means yet.

[While no less mirthful, Dale's smile softened as he paused in thought. What could she be thinking about him? He hoped he would be able to hear it soon, he considered as he picked up his ears curiously. If the other Rangers were on her mind he was all ears.]

Pokemon? Huh, well golly that just sounds odd. [She laughed, wondering if maybe Monty would know what that was. He's been all over the place! She pulled back a moment and smiled at Dale.]

There's something I've been meaning to tell you...

[Trust Gadget to get right to the point]

[Dale's smile paled to concern then, and his ears lowered.]

Is everything alright?

[She took his hands then and nodded.] Oh yes, everything's fine ... I just ..

[She let out a sigh then, trying to calm her racing heart. Beating around the bush wasn't going to get this done any faster, time for the direct approach!]

Dale.

I Love you. Not Chip, You.

[There, she said it.]

[She had looked him in the eye to say this before Dale had even had time to sort his feelings, to tell her in the most meaningful way he was capable of. As a result this moment had caught him off guard, even if he hadn't known it, Gadget did.
Earlier confessions she had said in haste were coming back to him now. That, and the sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach he had been suffering from worrying before was creating a rather otherworldly effect on him, as if it still wasn't quite real.]
You- [His voice was a soft breath.] I mean me?
[There was no hiding the pink hues coloring his cheeks in flattery now, despite bowing his face slightly to hide it.]

Probably not the right icon, but I haven't found blushing ones yet...

[She nodded then her own cheeks pink.]

Uh huh ... I'm sorry it took so long for me to tell you...

[She smiled then, taking his hands in her own.]

[At this, Dale met her gaze fully, perking up his ears. Now that he had collected his thoughts, he had a little more clarity than before. He hoped now that something light-hearted would soothe the anxiety that they were both ailing from.]

You don't have to worry, Gadget. If I had to do what you just did, we'd still be stuck at 'hello'.

[He offered a pantomime of reeling back from stabbing himself with the proverbial blade of 'falling on your own sword'. He quickly collected himself with bated breath as he waited for the effect he'd been hoping for, but was outwardly wearing the anxiety that was just built up inside before. He cracked a small smile in its place.]

[She laughed softly. She was always in the mood for one of Dale's comedic responses. She looked at him though and smiled sweetly in that way of hers.]

[Okay, he was ready to set aside the comic relief. This time he gathered her hands in his, trying not to fidget too much.]

Gadget? There's something I'd like to tell you too.

[He bent forward then in the most formal gentleman's bow he was capable of, then looked up to her with hope as he did. A goofy grin spread over his face contagiously.]

I wish with alll mah heart for the chance to love you, too.

[Dale inched a tad bit closer then, looking to her tenderly.]

Would you be my lovely miss, Gadget?

[Oh, she is blushing now but she wants nothing more than to be Dale's lovely miss.]

I'd love to Dale, with all my heart.

[She smiles to him, pulling him close to her.]

[Here's hoping that the gap closing between them meant that she wanted to receive his affections! Dale escorted her near until his forehead met hers.]

[He swooped in then to caress her with an eskimo kiss, an especially loving gesture he had always wanted to give. In pulling back to hang his head, a bashful sidelong glance was waiting for her approval.]

[Dale's gaze softened, in fondness he wasn't sure he knew how to express before she kissed him then. Flirtatious pecks on the cheek she had offered in passing hadn't compared to the elation he felt in this moment, this moment where the two of them could just be, as they surely had wanted very deeply. Why then was there a hesitance on her end he couldn't seem to detect in himself..?]

Heey, it's okay now. You don't have to be sorry for somethin' that you feel.

[He cradled a hand of hers against the soft fur of his chest, hoping that in some small way he could heal her hesitance by giving her awareness that he was racing, in his heart and in his mind.]

I'm scared too...

[He reached a comforting hand to her shoulder, hanging his head to show he was worried.] You don't have to wait and worry any more, if it's because of me. Is there anythin' I can do to help you feel better?

[Gadget smiled and shook her head.]

Nothing's wrong, I'm merely just happy and I'm reveling in the moment, you know? I mean, Golly! we've gone a long way since we met and this is really special and ....

[She was rambling cutely again.]

[He wished he could chuckle in good humor when she spoke, or give a shout of joy then. He wanted to envelop her in a running embrace to gift her with all of his elation, or anything at all to justify the way his heart was racing. Anything to keep her from seeing him the most terrified he'd ever been. Dale had been in anticipation of this moment for a long time, but all he could seem to succeed in doing was getting very choked up, she was so cute.]

I love you too! [He caught his breath, hoping she would be receptive as he brought her close. His voice was still quivering some.]
