What am I going to even do with this muse?

Much time has passed since I left the world of the living. How are you able to summon me back?

(He hasn't drawn a weapon to defend himself (mainly because his swords are now in the hands of his sons). Yet he also seems to be feeling the situation out before he acts.)

I have no desire to be amongst the living. My time was spent well and I have no regrets about my death. I imagine that is hard for one as young as you to understand.

Nah, I like the louder stuff.

[If he wanted to take over a building, he'd take over an actual building. If he wanted to get in a fight, he would pick one.]

But a game of chess or checkers is good for conversing with friends.

Hm. (He is considering the possibilities.) I do not believe my son relishes the idea of friendship.

(But he'll learn. Inu No Taisho has no doubt about that.)

You can't just barrel through life conquering stuff. What good is all that power if you can't enjoy it?

He has yet to understand that. (His smile is almost...affectionate.) Despite his age, he is still a pup.

Then teach him. Wherever you find him. You're the Dad here.

My words can only be heeded if he chooses to listen.

[A shrug.]

Like I said. You're the father here.

That means little when I died so long ago.

Bet he misses you.

[And what he won't say--"better you than your child".]

I cannot say that wouldn't please me. (To be missed, to be cared about, those things matter to him.)

Are there any other people you'd wanna give a greeting to? Friends? Lovers?

The mother of my eldest son and some of my friends who are still living.

Then greet them. If the woman in question doesn't want you dead, at least.

We ended our relationship on amiable terms. I did not leave her because I stopped caring.

You're better at this than I am.

I have had centuries of practice.
