Wherever it is, I hope things go well for you, Captain Rogers.

There might be a few bumps in the road along the way, but it'll all work out eventually. How are things going for you?

Feeling a few of those bumps right now, but things are getting better.

What's the trouble?

I was taken control of by an ... an outside force. It used my memories to attempt to kill ... someone I really care about, and harvest their emotions. They used my body, and my power to get at the ones I love.

It's hard to face her right now.

How's she doing? Does she understand what happened?

She's alright, just a little shaken up. And yes, she knows what was going on.

It doesn't make it any easier though. It still feels like I failed her, and everyone else. People may have died because I wasn't strong enough to resist the control.

I know. Believe me, I know. It doesn't get easier.

But you have to remember that it wasn't your fault. Believing that it is only lets the one who controlled you win.

I hate to break it to you, but being prepared doesn't necessarily cross over from this place to the others. Unfortunately.

Come on, trust an old comrade with this one. Anyway, just believe me, no matter how much you prepare for one of these places, once you show up, it all goes out the window.

It's not often that you aren't prepared. One way or another.

I'd like for that to be true here, too.

Why the sudden worry? I mean, you're almost edging towards pessimism there, and that just ain't right.

It's not worry. More like cautious optimism. Wherever I'm going, I believe everything will work out in the end.

You always did like to spend too much time studying.

I think it paid off. Mostly.

Maybe you woulda been fine without all the studying. You don't know, 'cause you never tried it.

Maybe. Some habits are hard to break, though.

I thought you were always prepared anyway.

Most of the time. There might have been one or two instances that got past me.

Don't let anyone else hear you say that. You'll be crushing a lot of young, idealistic dreams, Cap.

Nothing I like more than good training. How many hours do you put in a day? I think I might have some catching up to do.

I'm not sure how you prepare for some of these places. Most of them sound insane.

Keep an open mind and resolve to do the best you can wherever you go. That's how I'm doing it, anyway.

Not yet. Every now and then she makes noises about sending me somewhere, but so far there's no follow through.

Are you crazy? You never leave it up to them, they'll always find the way to screw you over the most.

They're supposed to be working with us, aren't they? Why would they do that?
