I know I ain't exactly from Middle Earth an' all, but here goes-

My Christmas wish is ta see Thorin and the dwarves find a home.

There are still two movies ta go, but they gotta find someplace ta call home by then? Right? Wherever they are, I hope they get a nice Christmas by a roarin' stove and all the food they could eat.

That ain't exactly one wish, but it'd sure be a swell holiday for the company.

What would you do if you were an explorer? That's sorta what being here is like: navigating uncharted territory.
[At the mention of anything remotely adventurous, Dale's tone got increasingly more dramatic.]

[Bilbo utterly lacks Dale's dramatics, but he considers the question thoughtfully.]

I suppose I'd keep moving forward. I won't get where I'm going otherwise. [He's learning that he can't always look back, over his shoulder. He has to look ahead, too.]

There are maps. I'm not sure I know exactly where we fit on them, but there are maps. I'll have to make a study of them.
