You know... I think it could be pretty fun.
[ Forever the hopeful and cheerful optimist in any situation. Nothing ever seems to change with him. ]
It's another new world and there could be a lot of things to see there. I wonder what it's like? Riku isn't there yet but he could always show up, I think. Just gotta think on the bright side of it and i'm sure you'll be fine, miss mundane.
What've you got to worry about anyway?

You are but another pawn in their games. [ Don't get him wrong... neither is he. Or anyone here, really. ]
He might never come. [ Just being realistic here. ]

A pawn? Isn't that a little harsh to be thinking that way?
[ See? Forever optimistic. ]
That is true, but I'm not going to give up hope. Riku's found me in worse situations so I know in time he'll find his way here, I know it.

...if the choice was his alone to make.
You will need to wait not only for him, but for a mundane who will accommodate him as well.
[ He knew well from time spent here that one's wishes alone were not enough to get what you wanted done here. ]
Thus, the metaphor is fitting. [ Because like chess pieces, they had all the ability to do what they could; but needed someone else to make the moves for them. And sometimes, much waiting was involved. ]

[ Shakes his head and exhales a sigh before putting on a grin. ]
It might be fitting but i've never looked at it that way. Not even once. It takes a team to make things work and this is kind of like that, the way I see it.

Strange people, Fairies and uh... monsters?
[ Only half serious on these answers but give him credit. He's feeling a little cheeky too so it could explain some things. ]

[Yup. He's listing things.]

I think I can handle all of those things.
[ Cue the keyblade being summoned into his hand in a brief flash of light. Not being particularly threatening with it, but hey. He likes making a point. ]

And that's why I was able to devour your dreams so easily before, right?

[ Wait a second. No he'd never met this one before but... maybe he'd been... the one who worked with the Organization/Xehanort back then. The one who'd kept him in that dream within the World that Never Was.
Needless to say it all clicked in his head. ]
...Y-You--!
The one who kept me trapped in that dream back then... [ Not the most perceptive but he really thinks he gets this, and he doesn't exactly find he likes it. ] it really was you then, wasn't it?

[And for Sora's prize, he'll reach up and... Lower his hood.]
It was me.

[ Then he has to do a doubletake and stops himself at the red eyes, though the resemblance was certainly alarming in how much he looked like him ]
Wait! Hold on a second! Why do you look like him?!
