This is a terrible, terrible idea. This is Time Machine Prototype #169 level bad - and that involved clowns. Do you want to have an idea full of clowns? No. No, you don't. Why? That's an excellent question! It's because clowns aren't cool. They're creepy and weird.

Time paradoxes are really, really complicated and you don't need to know what they are until you're in one. Are you in a time paradox, Merida? 'Cause if you are, you should probably let me know.

Robots aren't enchanted, though. They're just full of wires that connect stuff to other stuff. You should ask my dad if you see him - he's seriously smart.

Uh, well... Fine. But I could get in major trouble for this, so you owe me, 'kay? So, lets say I go back in time to find my dad. I tell him a back of stuff and bring him into the future, yada yada yada. But then! But then my family adopts him, so now my dad is my brother - although since he's my brother in the future, that means he can't be my dad in the past which means I don't exist because I wouldn't have been born. However, I would have to exist in order to have my dad be adopted.

[Give him a moment to look deadly seriously... Alright, moment over.]

And I'm from the distant future. The year 2037.
