On recent developments in Fate/Apocrypha

Fuck this update.

Fuck this user name.

Above all, mun...

FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you know why I keep myself well-covered at all times? It's to hide my fucking failure of a body! It's to hide the fact that I CAN'T BE LIKE FATHER! Apparently it's too much work for you or this Nasu asshole to have some respect for my fucking privacy!

Dear fucking Christian God and pagan Celtic deities alike! Does my life suck that much? Is the bar for human decency and respect set lower for me than for everyone else? My heart and body can be ripped to shreds and no one would care!

...You're laughing, aren't you? Stop trying to hide it. You're laughing. Everyone is laughing. That's right, laugh at this failure of a clone who can't grow the right body parts! You think I didn't try you stupid bitch?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!

The only thing that keeps me from slaying you where you stand is chivalry. I hope you know that.

[a middle aged man -- about five feet tall, and a bit hunchbacked, though a well-tailored suit hides most of that -- is leaning on his cane]

That's the thing about bodies. As strong as your will is, generally you can't will them to grow the right way.

I'm not going to argue about a person's will, but sometimes you have to rely on your wits as well. When your body fails you, you hone your mind as well as your will.

Well, for instance, a former count's sister decided she wasn't happy with her cousin inheriting after her brother died, and Barrayar still hasn't gotten around to overturning the rules that prevent women from inheriting countships. So she ended up taking an Armsman and a sample of her brother's Y-chromosome to the doctors in Beta Colony.

It was a bit of a fight, but he is now count. Embarrassed the hell out of my cousin Ivan, who ended up having to submit an affidavit as to the, ah, physical changes Dono had made.

Most worlds don't have as good of cloning and surgical procedures as Beta Colony -- there's a reason Dono had to leave the planet, besides that he wanted to make sure his cousin wouldn't interfere -- but if your world has cloning, then you've probably got some medical options. It's just a matter of figuring out what they are, and coming up a plan to go after them.

I couldn't say -- it depends on why you're female. I'm not a doctor, I just know enough to ask questions around them.

Well, then, that's the first step: figuring out what happened so you know what your options are to fix it.

I see. Well, drafting an intermediary can help, then, especially if you know someone who can ask the right questions.

I hope it goes well for you. I've always found action feels a lot better than inaction.
