My Dear Human,
Just relax. I understand your anxiety, however to react this way is rather beneath you. It will happen when it's meant to happen and not a moment before. I do, however have to express my disappointment with you.
You want me to lose the ability to communicate my vast knowledge of the TARDIS, which means Time Travel by default. I am President of the Supreme Council of Gallifrey and all of her Dominions. Keeper of the Sash and Rod of Rassilon. And you think it is appropriate for me to not be able to communicate with others about such pressing issues?
I'm sure the incarnations of the Doctor who are there will take great joy in this - challenge you have given me. Still, I suppose it is better than losing the understanding completely. I just won't be able to express my vast knowledge to others.
What do you mean it will turn me into a babbling idiot? I did not agree to this! If you are not careful, my dear Human, I will send Coordinator Narvin of the Celestial Intervention Agency after you.
That's not a half-bad idea. Narvin, Brax and Leela, yes, they all should come as well.

[She looks River up and down - not sure what to make of her.]

I know of the Doctor's wife... and you are nothing like her. Wrong name for starters.
[Romana has been connected to the Matrix, after all, she knows all of her people, to an extent. The rest is too troubling to even contemplate, so Romana will simply ignore it.]
And I am Romanadvoratrelundar. President of the Supreme Council of Gallifrey and all of her Dominions. Keeper of the Sash and Rod of Rassilon. The only Time Lord to travel with the Doctor who wasn't a family member.
You may call me Madame President.
[Because she doesn't trust River. She already knows she doesn't like her. Something in River's tone suggests an arrogance that hasn't been earned.]

[River just has that innate trolling ability to piss some people off, but rest assured she's not making any of this up Romana]
Madame President? Don't you have a shorter name?
[And Romana is beginning to sound a bit too full of herself to River. This should be interesting]
In any case, I beg to differ with you. Granted the ceremony was a bit rushed, what with time failing all around us, but we're renewing our vows in Paradisa this spring. Unless you know the floppy haired, bowtie wearing version of the Doctor I'm familiar with, I doubt you're current and up-to-date on his affairs.

[Romana's arrogance is quite well earned. There's a reason why she was groomed for the presidency.]
Shorter name? Heavens, no.
[Well, of course she does, but she doesn't give it out to people she doesn't trust. Especially in light of the Free Time Virus. She simply sighs at River's remarks.]
As president, it is my job to be current on the affairs of my people.
[How is she to know how far in his own future the Doctor is - Time War changed many things.]

[This is River trying to be nice]
You're going to need friends when you arrive.
no subject
I do believe it will be difficult for us to be friends.
[Where is Narvin when she really needs him? He would address this situation quickly and effectively.]
As to friends... I have already been assured there are people in that place who know me, and another is joining. And while I never met the Master myself, I do believe he and I would have more in common than the two of us.
[For starters, he would understand the significance of the Presidency.]

Well the Doctor is there. Two versions of him. A blonde one who favors celery and my Doctor, who wears bowties and thinks they're cool.
[Cue River rolling her eyes. Honestly, that man was a fashion disaster]
Why would you side with the Master over the Doctor?
no subject
[At this point, she would side with the Master over River, certainly. Especially the goatee wearing incarnations.]
As to the Doctor... he belongs to no one. Anyone who's known him more than five microspans can tell you that much.

Coordinator. [She sighs softly.] No more trouble than your human gives you, I'm sure. [She pauses and smirks.] In fact, quite less, I believe.

I'll have you know that I have my human perfectly under control now.
[He liesssss.]

You sound rather certian. It wasn't that long ago that your mun was concerned about you 'falling apart'.
Or has so much changed in the past week?
no subject
[Poor, trusting Narvin. "No plans" means "I have four days still in which to make horrible horrible plans."]
no subject
And you trust your mun to that extent, do you?

[She knows that much from a kilometer away.]
