Oh, I was under the impression you'd had quite enough of nightmares for one month. I see I'm not the only one who can't resist a little fun when it comes strolling by.

[ Yes, good. He smiles, sweet with a hint of malice; dark, glittering tendrils of shadow curling about them. ]

Have you ever thought you heard a noise somewhere in the dark, and tried to ignore it -- because surely, it couldn't be anything. Monsters aren't real. Aren't they?

Sweet child, have you ever had nightmares?

[She backs up rapidly, one foot after another, but then her leg catches on something - or maybe she was just going too fast - and she falls back, slamming into the ground hard and briefly glitching before she speaks up, her first two words a little garbled.]

So what if I have?!

[fearme]

[ The tendrils tangle and swirl excitedly. ]

That is what I am. I'm the noise in the dark. I'm the fear when you wake up. Oh, I am every one of your precious little screams.

[glitchinprincess]

Cut it out!

[The tendrils are quite obviously freaking her out - she scoots back a little before reaching up for a mint from her hair and angrily hurling it at him.]

[fearme]

[ The mint just gets eaten up by the darkness, and Pitch laughs sharply. ]

It'll take a little more than that, darling.

I said stop it, you're making me mad!

[She scrambles up off the ground and into a standing position, then stomps her foot. Though she's trying to act brave, there's a few stray pixels at her edges that flicker nervously.]

[fearme]

[ For a split second, he falters. The tendrils ease away, and Pitch smiles. ] I believe I've made my point.

Okay okay, you made your point. I get it already.

[She shivers, shoving her hands into the pocket of her hoodie again and toeing at the ground.]

But I still don't think you'd fit under my bed.
