Oh, I was under the impression you'd had quite enough of nightmares for one month. I see I'm not the only one who can't resist a little fun when it comes strolling by.

[Dean sets his jaw, eyes darkening.] So what are you some kind of demon? Because I'm really not buying the whole boogieman schtick.

[fearme]

Oh, Dean. [ His laugh seems to echo as he fades back into the shadows. It's like he's everywhere. ]

But I am the boogeyman. I'm also fear. I'm every one of those nightmares that have kept you awake since you were a boy. I'm no demon of yours.

[fullonswayzed]

[He spins around as Pitch fades into the shadows, searching for the source of the voice without success. Great.]

Yeah? Okay, fine- you're the boogeyman. [He raises his own voice, determined not to let this get to him.] So what? Nightmares can't hurt you. You're still all bark.

[fearme]

Oh, I never said I wanted to hurt you. That takes all the fun out of it. [ Is he over his shoulder? Beside him? Who knows! ] I just like to see you pretend you're not afraid.

Who's pretending? [He jerks around again, almost positive he'd felt the spirit beside him. Or course there's nothing.]

So far as I can see I got nothing to be scared of. Just some stuffed up asshole playing games in the dark.

[fearme]

Just the one person who knows every single one of your fears. But -- whatever you feel more comfortable calling it, I suppose.

[Well when he puts it like that...] All right already, I get it. Uncle.

[fearme]

[ He appears before Dean again, out of the shadows, smiling. ] Well. I'm sure I'll be seeing you again very soon.
