Voice Testing - OC based on the world of SCP
Excuse me but, though it's my first week here, even I know this is going to get me in trouble. They requested me as soon as I graduated and all, but nothing is going to save me if they find out I'm writing about any of this where people can read it!
I suppose you're right though, that I need to test myself out before I get thrown into the mix. Specially since I want to make the best impression with Dr. ███████.
He... didn't look to happy to see me.

Gosh all the new SCP people make me want to get into the mix XD

[He sighs deciding to digress there.]
My name is Karl. The only reason I know about this all is due to the fact that my mundane knows about this.
no subject
They do their best but they have to protect people, Karl.
[Definitely a wee bit concerned that this person might be an SCP himself to know all this.]
no subject
[He showed the man a file]
Read that and tell me you don't see anything wrong.
no subject
And what would you do, sir, to protect people from something like SCP-239? Tell me that.
no subject
Just because someone has a tool to kill you does not mean they will. You will notice in that file a stark lack of anyone coming to actual harm.

Clearly, they tried to teach her. They tried for all those years to make it work, or how do you believe she got to be the age she did before more precautions were taken?
no subject
Is there a single report of death after she grew to age?

While I might not fully agree with what they chose to do, there was a reason and it's not my place
yetto say otherwise.no subject
Give me one specific example of something she could think that would result in your death without her meaning to kill you?
no subject
She could wish the room was filled with water. Or that there was no air. Or we were on the moon. Or that I appeared in the heart of a volcano. Or any number of the other SCP came free. Or that she wanted to see what my heart looked like. Or that my blood suddenly became caramel-- would you like me to continue?
no subject
Even the Doctor who attempted to order her death was worried he would be perceived as a "good person" and thus would change his actions.
no subject
I'm done with this conversation. It isn't my place to question why they made their choices but I know they were for a reason. These people want to protect humanity.
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one. [Tiny sad smile knowing it's painfully true in this case, as well as showing he might be more than just a science-geek.]
no subject
Alright just take care of yourself, and don't just blindly trust your superiors. Bad men can find their way into any profession.

I suppose even if you had distaste at this point leaving isn't an option.

But he knows who this is fairly instantly.] ...T-Two thirty nine...

[ You're making the probably-10-years-old sad now. ]

[He can remember that some SCP aren't allowed to be called by their real name and some are (most aren't) and he's sure this is about to go downhill fast for his record.]
no subject
And don't worry dude, everyone is too scared to be deleted out of existence if they don't call her by her name. Not that Sigurrós would actually do that. ]
New how?
no subject
New as in initiation was a week ago. [Growing some balls, he tries-] Aren't you supposed to be in you room? They'll be concerned that you're gone.
no subject
I don't want to go to sleep again.
[ Never mind she can explain how she's here, "here" being some fancy place her mun put her, but lol little girls. ]
no subject
I'd rather we be friends. [He's too new to be lying outright. He doesn't have that fear of knowledge of what some SCP can do - yet. He's still... innocent.]
y halo thar
And in any case, most of them wouldn't believe it anyway.
Allo!

Site 17, most recently. Though I will probably be receiving a reassignment notice soon.
More SCP players! :D
We do exist! XD
[He doesn't want to be on record for researcher busted down to D-Class in the shortest amount of time in SCP history.]
I asked the mods to give us a tag. There's at least a dozen here. :D
Be very careful when interacting with any SCPs you encounter here, though. We have no authority over them here.
Good idea!!
[Which... reminds him.] Can I ask a question? [Without pausing.] Why was 239 placed into a coma at all? Her report reads nothing of her harming anyone other than the accident when she was born.
...Also I haven't seen Dr. Collins, who I was assigned to, anywhere.
SCP muses unite. <3
[He sighs, rubbing his temples.] 239 altered the mind of Dr. Clef significantly on accident, giving him homicidal inclinations. That it was unintentional and resulted in our staff essentially fighting each other is an unacceptable risk. In addition, putting her in a coma allows us to see if that will cause that which she has changed to revert or if it is a permanent state. I would like to note I didn't vote in favor of it, but it isn't as if we have no logic to the decision.
It's possible whatever effect we've stumbled onto did not affect Dr. Collins. I've seen Clef, Diogenes, 239, and 231-7 here so far. None of these personnel were even in the same site as one another.

231... 231.. [It's on the tip of his tongue, but then it clicks and he looks more than a little shocked.]
no subject
Yes. [He runs a hand through his hair.] That girl is here unchecked. She is apparently being sent somewhere that automatically strips all beings of magical properties and energy. Personally I see no reason to attempt to reclaim her for the Foundation since she is effectively neutralized and normalized in that place. And I don't want to see you trying to haul her back to our world, either. Leave her be.
no subject
N-No sir. Of course not. As long as she's contained, which it sounds like she will be, I don't see a reason why we should try.
no subject
Excellent. She's better off contained and allowed to live a normal life, even if her former containment has done regrettable damage. In all likelihood this place could actually be a stable solution to SCPs if we could access it of our own volition.
