So tell me, you ever get tired of all the saluting and the way normal soldiers seem to forget you're human sometimes? Or is that just me.

Yeah, I do. Don't get me wrong, I have a great crew and I understand the responsibilities that come with command. And most of my senior officers were my friends and classmates first, so there's that. But I miss the days when I was treated like a normal person like everyone, instead of them seeing me as The Captain and always behaving.

Wouldn't trade my crew for anything, they're good people. Good friends. I've died for them once and I'd do it again without hesitation.

[Letting the best damn pilot in the fleet die would look bad on her record, seriously.]

It's just that sometimes it's like they forget we're still just human, same as them.
