[seeing Grrr calm down allows him to relax, too. He had hid it well, but it was difficult to be so cavalier in the face of teeth and claws. Now he could really enjoy the softness of Grrr's fur]

[He can especially enjoy it now that he's rubbing against him a bit. He's trying to rub his scent on him because that's what family does. It's something like acceptance.]

[and he completely doesn't mind. Maybe if Grrr was any other werewolf he would, but this Grrr smelled like family, maybe a brother or cousin. Strange, because he was sure his brother was long dead. Oh well, he would enjoy petting this werewolf version]

[Lets him enjoy for a while, before trying to wriggle away again, wall be damned.]

O-okay, you can stop now! I'm really not for petting!!! Wolves are wild animals, not domestic dogs!

Okay, okay. [he gives that pouty '3' look, but he pulls his hand away and lets up]

Thank you. [Unfrizzes. . .except getting pet displaced his fur a bit(and his hair doesn't fall back into place on its own, so a few locks are out of place.) Tries to push it back(you probably don't notice, but he can feel it)]

Oi! You don't need to pet yourself! Kesesesese~

I-I'm not! I'm fixing my fur. . . ! [He might just shake himself off and let it go back to where it belongs but. . . .]

But it's not messed up. [he can't tell, okay]

It is. It feels out of order! [understands, at least.]

[gives him a peculiar look] Okay, sit down. [he'll try to fix it]

[grrrmany]

[sits] What is it? [Don't think anything of that he's doing what you say! This is trust, not submission! Still trying to fix it on his own]

[he moves close and starts gently moving strands of hair with his fingers]

It's easier if you can see it.

[grrrmany]

I can feel it, though. I know what way it's supposed to go.

[But. . .that felt pretty nice. So e'll let you move his hair back where it belongs and he'll take care of the fur on his lupine ears.]

[he really couldn't see how it was messed up, but he could move a few strands around until Grrr was satisfied]

[It was just the matter of which direction it naturally fell in. It looked more or less normal, but at the roots it felt like it was pointing the wrong way. But eventually he stopped messing with his ears and hair and seemed sated.]

[he gently smoothed it back] Better?

[grrrmany]

[Nods] It feels normal now; thank you.
