On recent canon and unrelated predilections towards archers

No one said coming back would be easy.  I'd hardly think it would be appropriate if it was easy.  What happened.  What I did isn't something that can be easily glossed over, no matter what my intentions are now or were then.  And there's no use getting worked up about something you haven't even properly read since the whole mess between the Avengers and X-men started.

That said, mind control right out of the gate is deeply unsettling and under the influence of the Red Skull of all people.  I know I just said that it shouldn't be easy, but for goodness sake, this is certainly pushing the limit of what one ought to go through.  Never mind that I'm hardly making much headway with that to begin with and I know it was cruel of me to pick that fight with Rogue just then.  I can't be this constantly cringing thing, apologizing for my mere existence, even if I ought to be.

And yes, on an unrelated note, I realize you have an overwhelming fondness for the type, but that does not mean that my type is "anyone with a bit of metal or a bow and arrow."  Nevermind I'm old enough to be the mother of half the archers that spring readily to either of our minds...  But I suppose I should be grateful that you're not having ideas about that awful man and me.  At least you're not that horrid.

Those are clearly far too small, they could be easily missed or mistaken for something else entierly.

Perhaps they simply have very poor eyesight and think they must go to extreme lengths to allow others of their kind to recognize them.

I wouldn't say I had no control. Maybe near the end, certainly, but I still made a decision that led to that, a decision that I knew was dangerous.

And. Well, my relationship my father is what it is, but you never failed me, Charles. You did what you could to help me when I was falling apart and I am grateful for that.
