Muse has to speak her mind. T_T
Now there we are! All nice and settled into our new location. Took you long enough.
No wait. That's not why we're here, is it? Oh, that's right! You listen to me, little missy, and you listen good. You can't just go peeking into all of those other worlds, there's no time for that. No time for you who live such a linear life. How do you manage? I don't care if you're left feeling unsatisfied with what you've chosen, you simply cannot take on anymore without letting go of some.
What was that saying? You can't have your cake and eat it too. That sounds just ridiculous. Why have cake at all if you can't eat it? Still even though that makes no sense, you know what I mean. Leaving is hard but everyone does it, not even my Thief can escape that no matter how fast he runs.
So if you're going to look around at all of those other worlds then you simply have to do something first. There's already too much on your plate. Oh! That's a much better saying.

That probably wasn't the point, was it?

Though that's not to say I wasn't listening to the rest.

Just trying to set miss munnie straight. She's already got so much to do and can't possibly take on more.
no subject
Oh, but you shouldn't discourage her. It's never fun unless you're pushing yourself. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, they're rumored to say.
no subject
That's all well and good if she can rise to the challenge but she's tried this before and it didn't end happily.
no subject
Happy endings aren't a guarentee. That doesn't mean it's not worth it to try.
no subject
No, they certainly aren't. Can't always get 'happily ever after'. I suppose not. Anything is worth a try.
no subject
That's more like it. Don't want to cut your own adventure short now, do you?
no subject
I've had a few adventures in my time. Still, it would be nice to go on more while I've still got legs.

Quite often. Still they have their moments.

[There's a mix of anger and pride in her voice, something she can't hide. She can never forget -- never -- all the things he's done.]
no subject
. . . sorry it hurt, what I did to you. I tried to be gentle.
no subject
Isn't what she expected at all. The Master. Apologizing.
In any case it seems to soothe her ruffled feathers. Not that she has feathers. Wait, off-topic thoughts.]
Yes, well. I suppose I can accept that. It's no worse than other things that have happened in my lifetime. [What with all the trouble the Doctor gets into and whatnot.] You dropped a jelly baby in my circuitry when you were in there mucking about.

You've certainly changed.

[Though now she's curious to know if he still hears the drums.]
no subject
*Does the way he taps his fingers answer that?*

[Not something the Doctor would completely approve of but she's a TARDIS. Death happens.
It does. She reaches out to cover his hand with hers. There are always noises in her head too, sounds that she makes while just drifting through time and space. The hum of engines, her rotor moving, sounds that could easily drown out the drums if he lets it.]
no subject
*A weak smile.* I'm not sure I could live without them at this point. They're too much a part of me.
no subject
[Still, she doesn't take her hand away.] They've been there a very long time. Suppose it's the same with me being blue, boxy with the parking brake on.

Also apparently she's now looking into the Library. As if there hasn't been enough trouble with libraries.
no subject
No kidding.
no subject
Though it doesn't seem to be very active, does it?

[You're strange and different. There's something about you... and he's a scientist and he's going to Figure Out What.]
