Annoyed.
It matters not which of these, ah, muses you wish to play, Mundane. It is ultimately your choice. However...
[His jaw tightens.]
Do remember to not include me in whatever foolishness your choices create this time around. I will not stand for it. I've much to deal with as is.

It sounds as if you've traveled far. Studying?
[He hazards a guess. Tower of Silver Star doesn't sound like the sort of towers he's accustomed to, nor does it seem like a prison, if Lillet's personality is anything to go by.]

[Her vision becomes distant a second as she finds herself worried about her family. Big sister instinct, she supposes.]
You've look like you're a traveler too. And one from my time, maybe.
[She hasn't had the opportunity to see too many people wear clothes she actually MIGHT be familiar with... though they still look a bit foreign to her.]
D'aww.
[Richter nods. He will admit: it is a bit of fresh air to meet someone who, for all intents and purposes, looks as if she'd be right at home back in Wallachia. And one so kind, no less.]
Correct guess. My work often brings me far from home.

Slaying vampires. [She grins knowingly.]
[And leans in to whisper.] I overheard a couple of the arguments.
no subject
Ah, yes. Vampires, the undead, those that stalk the night and prey upon the innocent... I hunt them all.
[Nigh indiscriminately.]
no subject
[Though she doesn't want to get into the argument per se. She's just learned that appearance and alignments are much more trickier than black and white. Like her Sorcery teacher -- a demon.]
no subject
[Unfortunately, it just so happens these creatures and monsters of the night are not noble and good. He hasn't met one that he hasn't felt the need to slay on sight. Alucard seems to be the only one, and he's a very special case...]

It's one of the required classes. With Miss Opalneria.

[Richter shakes his head, still trying to wrap his mind around the fact that such a well-meaning girl is practicing, of all things, necromancy.]
What would you need to learn that for...?
no subject
Well... three reasons. [She's nothing if not academic.] By practicing necromancy, I learn about the spirit world and how to summon ghosts. This is important to learn because the angry and restless spirits may cause all sorts of trouble if they aren't appeased somehow, or if an evil necromancer uses the spirit world for their own selfish reasons. If you aren't aware of the summoning circles or the manifestations of ghosts then I would be in big trouble if they were used against me or somebody else and cause all sorts of trouble!
The second reason is because ghosts are the best means of fighting demons. As the purest essence of the soul given to us by god. The spirit world has transcended the needs of the body and are cannot be tempted by earthly desires, which is the cardinal means that demons use to destroy their enemies. With no physical form and no weakness to temptations, ghosts are the closest thing to the divine will of god that magicians can summon.
[She pauses, considering her answers.] I think I already covered my third answer in those two, actually. It's an important school of magic to learn.

So it is not a matter of controlling the dead to your advantage so much as it is simply a means of understanding them and their world...
[Seems simple enough, really. Though he's sure it's far more complex than that.
Far far more complex.]
no subject
Yes. You see, I might be able to summon ghosts or demons or fairies, but it is my ability to coordinate and find ways to facilitate cooperation that sets me apart from evil witches and warlocks. It's like any sort of magic. How you use it determines whether or not it is good or bad.
no subject
[He tilts his head after some thought and smirks a little.]
Or mercenary work, perhaps?
no subject
Well, I suppose I could teach, but... what I really want to do is set up a shop in the city and serve in any way I know I can with any sort of magical problems that crop up. A lot of mages do that, actually. [So, sort of like mercenary work?]
But the really good mages work for a lord or a king... and they get to help an entire land or kingdom. [She daydreams about that... but really, what are the odds of that happening?] Oh, but they'd have to be really, really good! Much, much better than me! [nervous laugh]
no subject
I'm quite certain you've the determination and potential to work for whomever you want, young lady. Be it for yourself in a shop or for a lord or a king. You've it in you. I can see it.

My name is Lillet. Lillet Blan!

It's nice to meet you too, Ritchter.

[He chuckles faintly and shakes his head.]
I come from a long line of vampire hunters. Such a title would require you to be a bit more specific, I'm afraid.
no subject
[she nods, giving a light giggle to the thought.]
no subject
Too long. And we Belmonts tend to be particular by principle, so it's not quite specific.

[She's having way too much fun with this.]
