It is foolish to continue forward, without change, after a half-century of wasted life. Nor is it easy to begin again when one is already approaching their end.

I completely agree. It is unfortunate that the younger crowd does not see the same way.

Though intelligence isn't the primary issue. My mundane is more concerned that in life-or-death circumstances, other characters will find an old man to be a liability. However, I've experienced enough deadly situations in my time... and it isn't as though I'm an ordinary human.
