We were in the Crucible...the Doctor was just explainin' why we'd have to leave the TARDIS, but the door closed on me.

I can't remember anything after that. Why?

'Cause that's when - in your- my- our timeline, yeah - your mundane decided to come in an' put you away in their headspace. Which is where y'stay.

...'Least 'til they find you somewhere else t'go. Like a game or somethin'.

Yeahhh, with all that travelin' we've been doing, it was probably only a matter of time.

Missy here's saying there ought to be a few Doctors around--blimey, there's more of them? One skinny alien is enough for this universe--but that can't be right. Catching us is one thing, the Doctor's another.

Oh, there's a fair few bouncin' 'round here, yeah. S'pect it won't be too long 'til you run into one.

Some of 'em are, well, our Doctor. And some of 'em are other... versions of him. He does this thing - apparently. Some regeneration whatsit.

[ooc: Donna just got accepted to Project Gemini, which kind of marks her game comeback as she hasn't been in a game for, like, almost a year. Also, can I just say, your Donna is fantastic <3!]

Regeneration? That's it! That's what he did in the TARDIS when one of the daleks got him. That...that weird thing with his hand. 'pparently he got it lopped off one of these past Christmases. [This is the Doctor. She really doesn't want to know how that even happened.]

But how do you mean different? He looked the same to me, though I ought to have smacked him upside the head for scarin' us so.

Well, I dunno exactly what went on then. My mun's tried explainin' it t'me, but it just goes right over my 'ead.

All I know is, that when he's 'bout to die, he... changes. It's some barmy Time Lord... thing. Whole new face, whole new body, whole new 'im. Blimey, though, some of the others I've met. The fashion sense on 'em is enough to make them bloody pinstripes look decent!

New everything? So, it's like he gets some sort of...makeover. [Suddenly, the Doctor and Rose's conversation back in the TARDIS is making a lot more sense.

You'd be surprised. Some aliens don't look like aliens, and some spaceships don't look like proper spaceships either. [Looking right at you, Doctor...wherever you are.]

Hmmm. But still, pretty sure they are not aliens! They're just really powerful beings who can control us. Aliens can't do that.
