(This is not your regular Twilight. She looks like her, but behaviorally? She might as well be somepony else. Her eyes glow green as her horn glows with a dark aura.)

Mundane...do you really think it best to act on anger and frustration?

I'll reserve judgment...for now. After all, letting anger get the best of me is what brought me to where I am and look how wonderfully I turned out. I've since been introduced to an entirely new realm of magic that no book or scroll in Equestria has documented...not that I mind, of course. This new magic has only worked well for me. I'd say it would work for you, but you're just another powerless human.

Get out of my way, mundane; you're aware of what one will do when hatred overrides thought. That's how I arrived here, isn't it?

[Fluttershy hesitates for a few seconds before going and hugging Twilight.]

I forgive you. We'll all forgive you. We all do things we regret. Even me. I still regret making the biggest mistake in my life, but everypony forgave us.

You haven't failed anypony, and you didn't let anyone down. I did, but you didn't.

(Twilight froze up entirely once she received the hug. She can't remember how long it's been since she last received one of those. So warm and loving...

...the darkness making itself present erupts violently, hey eyes glowing bright and the aura around her horn seeming to engulf the two ponies...)

(But before long, it breaks. The dark aura bursts into a shower of lights around them and the unicorn's eyes return to their natural state.

Tears roll down her cheeks as she finally reciprocates the hug, sobbing on Fluttershy's shoulder.)

[Fluttershy allows Twilight to cry on her shoulder as she repeats soothing words and phrases. Her friend is back and sad and crying, and that's all that matters at the moment.]

(It takes her quite some time before she stops crying long enough to speak coherently again.)

...how will I even face everypony again?

[Fluttershy turns into Fluttercruel. She does not break the hug off.]

You're stronger than you think you are. You just have to let everyone have the chance to forgive you. I mean, look at us. was born to be nothing but cruel and I was forgiven, and Fluttershy was forgiven for her mistakes, too.

I don't care how bucking long it takes, but we'll help you in any way we can.

(There's a light sniffle and a faint smile.)

I guess...we won't know until we try, right?

[Fluttercruel and Fluttershy smile back at Twilight.]
