It's great that you saw the movie again, ma'am but. I'm not so sure about some of these ideas floatin' around in this noggin' of yours.


I mean. Taking away my hammer?! It'd be catastrophic! I'd be helpless. Plus, if it gets into the wrong hands, who knows what might happen! My game would get the plug! There is no way I am going to risk that again. You should take a seat, eager beaver, before you think of... something else.

Also, who is this Bob the Builder fella? And why do you keep referring me to him?

Take away what? [ NOT OKAY NEVER OKAY. ] What in the world is your commander thinking? A man's weapon is a part of him!

[ Besides, the only person allowed to make him drop his hammer is her, thank you very much. ]

Well, ma'am, it's not really a weapon. All it does is fix things.

It's a weapon. Some people fight by breaking things down, some people fight by building them up, Fixit. You're the latter.

[He nods and shuffles his feet.]

But what if you were in trouble? Some bad guy looming over you or something? I... I couldn't protect you with this!

[Felix holds up his hammer, gesturing to it. Had the mun planted the seeds of doubt in this hero? Possibly.]

Sure I can fix things, but I can't battle anything! I can't beat enemies to a pulp! [Pause] Which is a good thing of course!

[ She crouches down, getting to his level, and reaches out to tap the brim of his hat. ]

No, but I'm pretty sure you could fix me if I got roughed up. There are all sorts of heroes, Felix, and not all of them carry a weapon. I blow 'em away, but you put things back together.

Your heart's not made for the battlefield. Face it -- [ and she can't help but smile. ] You're a lover, not a fighter, handsome.

[Felix runs his fingers along the brim of his hat, his eyes still down-casted as he purses his lips with uncertainty. But those blue eyes flicker back up at her.]

If you say so.

[ She reached out to grip his chin between her thumb and forefinger. It was a gesture to make sure she had his attention, though she wasn't rough. She smiling gently, the way she did only for him. ]

I do say so. Chin up, soldier. Everyone has their own strengths, and everyone's a hero in their own way.

[Oh yes she has his attention now and he stares wide eyed up into her gaze, his head nodding in her hold slowly. Is this how her troops felt after a pep talk?

His chest swells with a bit more confidence and a small smile twitches at the corners of his mouth.]

Golly, you know just what to say, don't you?

[ The pep talks to the boys involve a lot more yelling and references to mamas and their pants. ]

[Hope you don't mind a little hug, cause Felix is gonna give you one Calhoun. He embraces her and kisses her cheek lightly before he pulls away.]

No problem, Fixit. [ She straightens again. ] So don't worry about her plans. Get out there and do what you do best: fix it. Whatever it is, something will need fixing. And you don't always need your hammer for that.

Well I'm not sure if she's going to have anything planned for me, ma'am.

[He adjusts his hat a little.]

She's startin' to feel a liiittle hesitant about playin' me. With our movie being so new.

Pfft. Every game's new; you don't get good at it on only one quarter! [ She shrugs once, and then adds: ] She'll figure it out. And if not, I have faith you can fix it.
