[ the boy looks down. the dragon looks at his rider, then follows the direction of sight, and stop doing his little scaly butt wiggle that he does when he's happy.

he growls, a terrible, terrifying sound to all those unused to the dragon's growl. ]

[ the dragon will narrow its eyes and growl at you, Joe. ]

[ that's right. Toothless is watching you, dude. Hiccup nervously chuckles. ]

It's Hiccup. [ Toothless turns his head to Hiccup with an expectant expression. ] And this is Toothless. [ Introduced properly, Toothless returns to giving Joe dirty dragon looks. ]

It's kind of a tradition. A lot of Chiefs' sons are called 'Hiccup' when they're like around my age.

[ Toothless is totally growling at you, mouth heating a little for some patent Night Fury fire ball action. Hiccup is just going...assess the situation...and use his own brand of humor in attempt to diffuse that unsettling tension in the air. ]
