That subject line will make it hard to be taken seriously. You're testing a new voice and your first experiences will be important. My voice shouldn't be forged in absurdity; I don't thrive in nonsense.

Before you cynically cite God or my "fanatical" devotions as a joke to those just outside the fourth wall, I'll remind you that the difference between insanity and culture is context. There's precedent for veneration of something undefined that concretely, regularly validates my actions and views. You're using an internet community where you look for playmates by talking to yourself in public with different voices.

I'm not trying to paint an unflattering image of you with that but it's something to think about before preparing icons from an unflattering time in my life.

[There's a scoff. Light's tone isn't particularly generous. It's as if blood hadn't been the only thing to hemorrhage out of him in the warehouse.]

[He'd love to think that he stiffened gradually enough to almost be graceful discomfort, but it's more of a quick jerk to attention. To his credit, he keeps his greeting level enough it could pass equally well as polite distaste or hesitant but habitual reverence.]

[Mikami thinks of himself as one who has an excellent poker face, and for most practical and professional purposes he's correct. But to the observant it's obvious the target was hit on the first try; it's not a matter of what's said, it's that it's meant to hurt. Keeping eye contact is a clear matter of attrition rather than defiance.]

[His eyes narrow at the assessment. There's a brief flash of unspoken vitriol because how everything ended was Mikami's fault and they both know it. But then that's gone, as well and is replaced with a slight upwards quirk of Light's lips.]

It's not always a bad word. If there's anything it's right to be "fanatical" about, it's justice.

[There's a small pause that may be mentally preparing the presentation or deciding whether or not to comply so easily. Either way, it's brief and he launches into a speech quickly enough.]

Justice is something that needs to be both earned and maintained, like society. It is society; if judgement is lax, so too is society. The advancement of civilization cannot depend on only a few great achievers. If everyone benefits from a just society, than everybody must take part in maintaining it. It should be at the forefront of every mind, before every action.

These problems are sadly reoccurring ones with mundanes. Voice of reason seems to constantly get played down as either 'cute' or a plain bothersome.

[It doesn't stop Mikami from trying though. Speaking up every single time. He never would want to have to say he hasn't tried to go against these ridiculous lines of thoughts. He is too persistent and determined for that. Others might call it being stubborn.]

It is not everyday though, that I run into one of well... myself. So every time, the situation is a slightly odd one, I have to say.

If there can be two of 'God' then I should't be surprised. [Shouldn't be. He is, but it doesn't show in more than a thoughtful pause.] I'd almost wonder if that unflattering time's a deterrent to our popularity.

Watching the community it looks like mundanes are, put simply, bullies. There's less than a handful, if that, who have anything positive to say about them.

It might very well be. My mundane tends to say it's because we're 'plain boring' but that seems to be a rather weak reason as well as an hypocritical one, judging the amount of time she's spent on me.
But I can't say I care too much. Popularity is only worth so much in comparison to efficiency of action.

And I have to agree, though 'bully' is a mild term for people who purposely put someone they're responsible for through traumatic experiences and even death on occasion. Even if for them, in their world, it is merely a 'simulation' of something, it doesn't excuse the act. Especially as, proven by talking to us, they do perceive us as actual people and are very aware of our pain.

If it makes us less ripe for their sadistic picking, I'd recommend a "boring" lifestyle for everybody.

To be honest I've never understood artists and their muses and all that. I've never been sure if they're being metaphorical or legitimately delusional.

And seeing that for mundanes, 'exciting' often translates to 'criminal' as well, that makes for another reason.

Me neither, but I suppose, it's not surprising as you are me. [In a way. He clears his throat. Mikami has come to know there are indeed individual differences and also finds it hard to believe someone should be exactly him, in every line of thought.] Until being forced into this so-called 'headspace' though, I used to think that even if some were delusional, it wouldn't matter as long as they lived their life appropriately and harmed nobody.
