I believe it is, as it is a prelude to mating. Mating itself is not lustful but Humans do not seem to be very good at being faithful to those they are around. Mates often switch as much as friends do.

I have been to many worlds...I have considered visiting the one called Vulcan. The Vulcan people appear to be both above lustfulness and have great intellect. Perhaps such things can be shared.
