Hey!

I'm not gonna talk to you about not doing this thing you're thinking about doing, as I know it never works anyhow, but I do have some questions. You know you're having trouble thinking of just one animal soul dangling thingy for me to settle down as, well, you know, that makes perfect sense! Because being one thing forever is the thing that doesn't make any sense, I think.

I mean it's not like people just stop changing from being what they are after they hit twenty years, or fifteen years, or any number of years! That sounds depressing, in my opinion. And what about people who have a lot of different things going on inside them at once? They're complicated! Boiling that down into just one thing is tough. I'm surprised anybody manages to do it for anyone at all.

Hmm, it sounds like an interesting kind of place, though... but honestly I think I'd take a daemon, or whatever, over you messing with how things are at home. If you have to take me out someplace, can't you at least leave Edo alone?

Would you sooner never be able to return?

Well, assuming this all goes well, I know I'll wanna go home. But it might not be so good if people from other worlds start coming. And even worse if stuff starts coming through.

I do not and would not ever carry such a weapon. I do not know of anyone else who possesses one either.

Well, there will be an animal whom you cannot separate from yourself following you around at all times and quite possibly reporting back to whoever created it in the first place.

But doesn't that make you wonder what they'd be reporting and why they'd even bother?

You can totally do that! I mean, it's probably even the smart thing to do, if your window's open right then. It gets harder when it isn't.

See, she's thinking about pulling strings so I won't want to go right home even if it is open... and then I might end up causing big problems for a lot of people! It's unfair.

They're pretty big on the pulling strings and hush-hush not telling us what's going on in the meantime. So... what're you going to do about it?

I don't know... other than take advantage of it when I think I can, and try to clean up any messes that come out of doing that.
