So you got all mad about the hiatus then you were excited about seeing the episode today. You freaked out and had a good time. So you decided to change my canon point and app me into two games...in one night? And you have school tomorrow. You should go to bed. This is all pretty fast.

I definitely wouldn't mind any of that. Though aren't mentors usually a lot older? I mean, how old are you? Eighteen?

Probably not eighteen, not yet. I get a little confused about how time passes between Nautilus and my world.

[Also there's that problem of not knowing the exact date of his own birth.]

I meant more that maybe my mentor could help you out, though, at least with training. He's already working some with Danny, so it probably wouldn't be that hard to get him to take on one more student.

You think he might be able to help with alien technology?

Yeah, luck is right, even though I had to wait like a year for him to show up. You never know who's gonna answer the Call and we can't force people to Wake. But I ended up with him and more, including my older brother.

Speaking of which...

If you need help with alien tech? I bet my brother could look into it. Him and Doc Holiday, maybe. Both of them have a ton of experience with nanotechnology and how it works with organic life. And then you've got me... I'm a technopath.

You just a bunch of lucky, didn't you? It's probably nice to have family there with you. I doubt my Mom or Dad'll show up. And if my sister doesn't answer the call, no skin of my nose.

Uh, yeah. A distinct lack of plasma blasting and evisceration would definitely be appreciated.

...wait a sec. Is that the alien machine thingy that's attached to you? Does this have something to do with that? The other Jaime I talked to mentioned something about it.

Yeah, it's the Scarab. It...talks to me. Gives me, what it thinks, is advice. I like to think of it as an inner-demon.

I...actually kind of know about the inner demon thing. Except mine doesn't actually talk.

It's probably not going to believe me if I tell it I won't hurt it or you, will it?
