I'm not a baby, you know. I'm not all that sheltered. I'm - they call me naive sometimes, but I know how dangerous worlds are, I know you have to be wary.

There's a difference between babes and babies. And I was referring more to innocence than naiveté.

I don't get the difference with either. But doesn't babe also mean girl? I'm not a girl, either.

I didn't mean girl. Or baby as in infant.

And innocence is a quality of... belief in certain things - in life, if you will - that many people lose. And that loss can come at a different age. While naiveté - well. That mingles very neatly with gullibility.

The saying refers to advice - which is wise - coming from the mouth of those who shouldn't have the experience to give it. Regardless of age. Babe as in innocent - yet not necessarily to be ignored.

Innocence can be many things. Absence of guilt, usually, and guilt is the price paid for some experiences.
