Okay, so aside from the fact that trees don't normally talk or, you know, do anything except drop leaves and sway in the wind...how is that humiliating? Did you get some kinda end of the world message from an oak tree, tell your friends and neighbors and no one believed you?

Pretty much.
Except it was on stage, during a school play, so the entire town saw me act crazy.

I guess I could see why they would think you're nuts. I dunno, though... I mean, I've seen a lot of weird things over the last few years, so at least the talking tree part doesn't strike me as completely weird.

Well I... don't think it was really a tree. It was some kind of hallucination or dream I was having. I'm pretty sure real trees don't talk.

It was right though. It said the dead were coming, and... they did.

...that's...actually kinda cool? It'd be cooler if it didn't involve the coming dead, though, because I know all about that kinda stuff. [Shudder.]

But okay, so...if everyone thought you were crazy and didn't listen, how'd you stop the invasion?

It was actually pretty scary when it happened... I thought some people were trying to hang me.

[Since most of the ghosts who pass through Blithe Hollow are wanderers, sometimes they'd tell him about all the places they've been to. So traveling has definitely also peaked his interest.]
