This was unexpected
Well, my mun, you have my undivided attention as I have little choice. You know many people who are fans of the universe I exist in, but none who deal with people like me. What do you plan to do with me?
I am very alone right now. I do not like this. I have gotten used to company.

It is a little odd though. The Kurt I know is a bouncy show-off teenager.

...oh hey, that's Michael, Gabriel...where did you get these done?
My world is similar to at least three other worlds including yours. Mutants just recently got forced out of the closet. You exist there, so do most of the X-Men. Xavier exists there, but he's...much more morally compromised than the others I have met. And my father is as evil as ever.

[His fingers brush over his own arm.] I did these... myself.
I do not understand what you mean. Morally compromised?

[She sighs. But there's nothing for it but to be honest.]
Basically in my world Xavier is pretending to be a good guy when he's really not.
You see...I'm Magneto's daughter. He couldn't handle raising a kid with more power than him, so he had me falsely committed to an asylum when I was eight. Xavier knew. He came once a week to provide me with telepathic "treatments" that were no more than attempts to brainwash me into accepting my imprisonment.
That's why I'm not going back. If I go back I'll be constantly reminded of what they did to me.

Mag..Magneto's... daughter. I never even knew he had a child... [He shakes his head, in a bit of shock.]

Don't worry. I'm nothing like him. Very pointedly, nothing like him.
If he has children at all in this world he has two. A version of myself, and a version of my fraternal twin Pietro. Pietro looks just like him and wasn't abused, so he worships at my father's feet. Hopefully in this world my mother got far away with us and raised us normally.

My mun has just informed me dat, dere is a chance we haven't met where you're from, an' if dat be de case... Ah'm sorry y'r missin' all de fun, homme.
no subject
If you are a fellow mutant... who do you follow? There are two sides to every tale.
[Bit more cautious, now!]

Dat ah am, homme. Dat ah am...
[Gambit's brows raise and he looks honestly amused. He crosses his arms over his chest.]
De Professor o'course. Gambit is an honest t'god X-Men.
[When they aren't leaving him to die in Antarctica. :|]

[He smiles, showing those pointy teeth.]
Then I am pleased to meet you, Gambit.
[Offers a three fingered hand.]
no subject
Those are the teeth he knows quite well, as well as the hands, he doesn't even miss a beat, taking it with a firm grip and hearty shake.]
As am ah, homme. Now, as far as dis business wid y'r mun, you're goin' t'jus' have t' accept w'at ever it they may decide.
no subject
[He returns the shake firmly, pleased quietly inside to see no flinch away. This might be a good man.]
But I have found others here, so perhaps... I am less alone?
no subject
[He knows you Kurt, that has to be some sort of proof of that.
He'll argue about the good man thing, he doesn't think himself to be one.]
Yes, y'are!
