[ Garbage is a band that's not half bad but she's not talking about them. She likes things like Morrissey and songs about death and being angry. Misanthropic views not unlike his own. He's leaning somewhere into a wall behind her. ]

Actually, it does -- for me, anyway. I don't know how it is for clerics in your own reality, but the deities back home even deign to grant us spells with which to spread their word.

It truly depends. Ghosts are, by their very nature, partly within the Ethereal Plane. This makes most physical weapons useless on them, though with a strong enough enchantment, the magic itself can harm them.

Other spells that do primarily magic-damage itself, instead of elemental damage like fire or ice, will more readily strike the incorporeal as well.

Then there are vampires, liches, and draugr to contend with.
