Oh God Tony what did you do? Just...what the hell? I thought you fixed that! Of all the horrible times to...UGH!!!

No mun. No I will NOT calm down! This is a disaster! A horrible awful mess and I do not know how we're going to clean this up.

There's a kind of...really bad fault in the AI you installed on Rescue. [sigh] So he-the AI, took over Rescue and now apparently it's attacking people in a...well a jealous rage.

He's as good as he's always been. I hate that you two kept that between yourselves though. NOT that I'm trying to scold you. I do understand what "plausible deniability" is.

I'm not crazy about him using my name, and that part is true. I wouldn't give it to anyone else, but I still don't love the plan as a whole.

But it is what it is. And the fewer who have to get involved, the better.

[Which is a round about explanation for why he doesn't confide more. One day he'll actually say things that he means.]

It's your choice and it's my technology. You can't cut me out here, Pepper. I'm still part of the cause. I just wish I could be part of the solution this time.

The thing that gets me though is how it managed to attack anyone. Rescue wasn't built with anything really "weapon like" so either there's something there that got overlooked or he managed to rewrite the applications.

mm...Or the suit is thinking of ways to use itself that I didn't consider. [Now she's given herself a real headache.]

That... I don't know, Pepper. It shouldn't be able to access any weapons, but Rescue is an advanced machine. The design can be modified if you know how.

But the pilot is always essential. No matter what happens, you can take control.

I'm sure he thought he'd taken care of that. Of course...common sense (and the sci fi genre) tells me that if you make a program that can evolve this kind of this had to happen sooner or later. Just...why me? Why now??
