I am not a hipster! I have taste, and I can't stand that beer they drink. Just because I play music most people have never heard of doesn't make me a hipster. The people who have heard of it are dead.

That wasn't meant to be taken so literally, Apollo, that would be you missing the point, entirely. And your pride is obviously wounded because you're still arguing this inane point. You don't have to wear flannel, or wide-rimmed glasses, or drink awful beer, that's hardly point of the argument. This about you being part of an intellectual, artistic culture which, while admittedly pretentious and often mired more in a ridiculous fashion statement than anything else, is hitting a little close to home because all you can apparently see is the negative aspect.

[Take it from one pretentious intellectual to another, Apollo. And don't expect another compliment of that caliber again any time soon.]
